  1. Thanks Dave. I knew that Grouper themselves were not a toxic/poisonous species so I Googled your response, makes sense, thank you. One of the links I perused.... http://www.doh.wa.gov/ehp/sf/pubs/pspfactsheet.htm
  2. I'm still waiting for a proposal to keep salmon from moving beyond the estuaries.
  3. Right now I'd be happy with just any one of those fish.
  4. Looks like a good time Mike. I was going to say the same thing as FishLogic, looks just like the 45lb Yellowfin Grouper my Uncle had mounted. Not toxic to the best of my knowledge.
  5. How come you haven't dropped by to show me one Floatman....
  6. Can now.
  7. For me Delvin, no question, FIXED! Just need to know where you like your reel positioned.
  8. Just had a chance to watch the videos, very nice and great tunes as well. Nice to see I'm not the only one who favours a longer rod than most.
  9. Nothing shabby bout those results Ryan!
  10. I'd be happy with a few of those on my plate Bruce. Totally agree here with that statement!
  11. Going back more years than I care to remember I had a 16' square back Sportspal with a 17lb thrust Sears Game Fisher, moved it along very well. Also threw on a 15 horse Evinrude one day at my buddies cottage and tore the lake up, ZOOM ZOOM...... That being said I'd think something in the 30 lb thrust range would be more than adequate.
  12. I'm jealous, been too long since I had a day on the ice Rob and a day like you and your brother had is exactly what I'm needing.
  13. Welcome

  15. And I'm too far away.
  16. Extremely saddened by your loss Kelvin. I'm still struggling to find the appropriate words.
  17. You know where to find me Pete.
  18. Quack.... Quack.
  19. Thank you. I can't take any credit for the beautiful wood seats, they're done by my buddy John @ jccustomtackle I've been working on my own seats with some help from John, though I've been unable to progress much due to a broken wrist and a couple of fingers..... But I did these with some practice wood, still in the rough stages though. Here's a few pictures of one I sent to BC last week for member "Bare foot wader" who wanted a removable/add weighted butt cap system.
  20. Looks solid and well built Nick. I've built several myself over the years due to friends losing them down the hole and if I could offer one bit of advice (beyond adding a rope) it would be to keep the cutting end at about 1" in width.
  21. Thanks Rich The ones pictured are all Steelhead/Floatrods. The top one is a 15' CTS Second one a 13" Loomis GLX strip and rebuild Followed by 2 more CTS' at 13.5' Seems to be a big demand for steelhead rods.
  22. Braggart......
  23. Thanks everyone. I really enjoy doing the handle work, it's the guide winding and finishing that I abhor but you can't fish 'em without guides. Ya ya! Sorry Fusion, still waiting for my big cork order. As noted above Mike, still waiting, hopefully it's a good or better. If I recall Ferg supplied that cork and it was exceptional! It is nice Bill and Ferg keeps reminding me it's one of only 10 out there.
  24. Just a few pictures of what I've been working on the last few weeks. All rods are now ready for delivery.
