  3. Been a while since my last report, test are done Blood work is good & 17 months of Chemo, Radiation & Recovering it's back to work, the end of November would've been so much better lol after Bass Season ends, but I really can't complain, it'll be nice to get back to a bit of a routine, Monday, Wednesday & Friday 4 hrs for the next 2 weeks, then Monday to Friday 4 hrs for 2 weeks & add 1 hr a week after that, 2nd week of January before I work 5 x 8hr days. Feeling pretty good we'll see how it goes, they tell me just be aware of any symptoms & follow up if it happens. Tight Lines & Thanx for all the Support SBK
  4. 10 School Salmon Hatcheries up & running

  5. Guys, This has been borrowed from another Forum for those of you that hit the Saugeen up & are enjoying the fantastic Rainbow fishing. During the course of a conversation I mentioned that many of the LHFC and OS members are "support only" members - meaning that due to work and family committments, and/or their geographical location, they simply send in $35 bucks a year to the Club to help support our cause. I was surprised when he told me that many people thought you had to be very active in the Club to be a member - this is not at all the case. I personally did nothing at all for the LHFC for 20+ years while I enjoyed catching a ton of the fish they raised. It has only been the last 2 years that I have been able to help out as much as I can. So long story short, get onto www.lakehuronfishingclub.com - A few clicks on PayPal and presto, you just helped out the Club with a cash injection by becoming a New Member. If you give us your email address we will send you a monthly newsletter as well. The OS site has a PDF to print for a membership too. Help the Clubs out guys Please and Thank you - It costs over $60,000 a year to keep the hatcheries open, and it is 100% funded by anglers, for anglers. Hopefully we get a couple hundred new members today from some of the Saugeen Regulars. I changed a few things to leave out the other Forum. I'm hoping to expand the School Salmon Hatchery Program also & that takes about $1,000.00 a School. We now have 10. Tight Lines SBK

  10. This was sent after I put the Post up by one of the Volunteers, We lifted 80+ fish on Saturday and had another 50 in the cage to lift on Sunday. It was my first time helping out, and man is that one remarkable event to witness. The OS and LHFC have lifted 250 to date against the permit for 500, so they are half way there. I think the next lift is Tuesday morning if any of you are looking for something to do. I know they transfered 1,000 Rainbows in the spring about 100+km up river, I'm not sure how many they just lift over the Dam, but it will be posted latter by the guys that know I'm sure & I'll pass it on if I find out. 13. I'm not sure I'd be mouthing off about taking things into your own hands & slashing someone & leaving them to swim for as long as they can, try educating them or Take Pictures & report them or Shut Up, it wouldn't fair to good for you if you thought someone was doing something wrong & you walked up to them & broke their Fishing Rod lol Tight Lines SBK

  16. Variety can be a big deal this is a few I used to carry when I was fishing, not quite as bad now a days but some times, I'll have at least that many with me lol, wonder were my handle came from lol, it was nothing to hand out 1 or 10 to the kids that were canoeing with us when my kids were young, it looks like a lot but with 3 of my kids & who knows how many others, when we were at the fishing or sportsmen show we always bought Black Fly Spinnerbaits or another company that was made local but I can't remember the name, it would be nothing to bring home 50 each spring, I bought what I needed & so did my kids, White always worked & there was days that Purple & Orange out fished everything, one of our B.A.S.S. Junior even won a Tourney on Purple & Orange that's all he threw, lol. Tight Lines SBK
