As your body begins to purge the toxins and nicotine in your system, it will recirculate in your blood stream before exiting. This may cause cravings. This is why giving up any drugs can get worse before it gets better.

Congrats on getting the notion to quit... The 2 step idea, of first getting off the habit by either using a vaporizer, patch or gum, sounds like a good plan, because you stop smoking first, then afterwards you just have to stop the nicotine intake. In university, I "smoked" fairly regularly for a semester, and made a $200 investment towards a good vaporizer. My lungs thanked me, and after I had my fun I sold it for almost as much as I paid for it. There's a book out there for quitting, my neighbour read it and he said it brainwashed him into quitting. He successfully quit just with the book. You also have to examine your lifestyle and your peers. Does everyone around you smoke? Friends, family, coworkers, significant other? If there's a lot of smokers in your life, you will have to have the resolve not to let others around you distract you from your goal of quitting. It is quite sad to see some of the after effects of long-term smoking, research it like crazy and that should give you additional reason for quitting. Smoking a while back when there was less crap in cigarettes was one thing, but modern day cigarettes are really full of crap. You can also try to find a good hypnotist. Uri Geller might not be available, but search around and you should be able to find one locally for a good price. Last but not least your wallet will thank you... My health collapsed completely earlier this year due to a few reasons, not from smoking though as I was never a smoker. You don't know how precious your health is until it starts to decline..cherish it and nurture and nourish your body while it's still strong..and you will live longer and happier.

I failed my G2 test twice and my G test once, the instructors are not always the brightest apples of the bunch, get a decent one and you're far more likely to pass. Funny how some of them don't know the rules...and abide by their own on a whim.

Surprisingly Belair ended up quoting me much lower than TD Meloche Monnex so I went to Belair. You don't need to book a G test, you can also go in on stand by. That's what I did, in Orangeville, where the test is ridiculously easy. I was out the door by 9am with my new license. Just go on a morning with nasty weather and show up 15 minutes before they open to ensure you're the first one waiting for stand by.

I'm fighting a 93mph in 65 mph, a 25km over (reduce from 38 over), a 15km over (reduced from 27 over), and a no insurance. All these after years of driving with no tickets. Don't feel too bad!
-
Try Belair, I was with TD Meloche Monnex for a few years and upon turning 25, they gave me a discount but Belair's quote was even better. I used kanetix.ca to shop around, just took a moment and I was hooked up with Belair because their's was the cheapest for me. I leased a vehicle when I was 21, and for full coverage I was paying about $285/month in Waterloo. So for TO that probably would have been $50 more per month. Around $4000 seems normal for GTA, first time own insurance, under 25 category. Once you hit 25, it goes down. Getting your G, it also goes down considerably.

Agreed! Very gentle rain last rain, yet I don't recall ever having such an easy time with them. They are slower now and much less light sensitive. Perhaps due to the cold, or maybe they're less worried about predators at this time of year. I was doing a late night wader fix to take advantage of the darkness to find the holes, and took a peak with my flashlight on the yard. Got a dozen in just a few minutes without hurting my back.

Anyone else see something wrong with this?

From what I read on the Niagara Forum, the no catch limit for sturgeons was only implemented a few years ago, and the guy said he took the pic beforehand. So even if he isn't native, it wasn't illegal. -

I made 2 points; that the lady is attractive, and that the dude looks native. Both seem pretty clear. Which of those is leading you to believe that I am blind or sarcastic? -

The only thing I see wrong with that ad is that lady holding the pike, should be the one laying down in the sturgeon pic, instead of the guy! I don't see how anyone could assume that he is NOT native? Definitely looks native... -
Definitely some pike there too
-
I'm not sure you were clear enough that your post is NF....?
-
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the OP was written very light-heartedly, with no antagonism whatsoever. If that wasn't self-evident from the very beginning, it sure became so when the poster admitted to owning a lot of pricey gear.

95% of my fishing is by myself, much needed time to relax

Worms and roe bags do a fine job sinking on their own, and are presented more naturally with the flow of the water without sinkers. Even you're overestimating the requirements
-
I am going to speculate that this study may have been funded in part by the suppliers of the very fish it's promoting.

You know, one NF would have sufficed I've never seen anything like this before, sure looks good though

Attention anyone who fishes the Notty

As a non-hunter, if I may ask, what value do the head and hooves have? Why would they have been removed? For taxidermy and show, or is there some monetary value? Why the hooves? -
You want to stop and fish a filthy man made ditch, on your way to paradise? You must be a real fisherman!
-
That's what I catch there, pike and bass primarily, it also has catfish and carp apparently. By the way they were jumping, it must have been a school of bass going on a fall feeding frenzy.
-
I was fishing the canal off highway 9 just past the 400 today and large schools of tiny fish were jumping in unison, about every 10 to 30 seconds or so. It was already getting dark, I tried to film it but the footage came out useless. The fish looked to be about an inch long. What was strange was that they would all jump at the same time, in schools. Perhaps a predatory fish was swimming around gobbling them up, and they were jumping to avoid being eaten? Anyone know what species this might have been?
-
What kind of reel do you use? If it can stand up to constant carp fishing, it should be pretty well invincible. I'm in the market for a good spinning reel that can take a lot of drag pulling...

I think it is fairly complicated, and expensive. Even just the names are complicated. G1, G2, then G? G1, G2, G3 would make more sense, or even just 1, 2, 3
