Thanks all. NAW & Bill, I'll check those out for sure.

I am looking for a window decal for the rear lift gate. Something like 24" long. I called a few places, but there is a minimum order. A place in Newmarket will do 10 decals for $25, great price however I don't need 10. So, I was wondering if someone here makes decals either business or hobby. PM me if you'd like. Thanks, Daniel.

If your looking for a huge selection, great prices and are willing to drive. Then I agree with above JB's is the way to go.

It sounds like your using a long hooklink(leader). I usually us 4" and is almost tangle free. Like Mike mentioned, coated material will also help. For a good hook bait I always use Cukk corn available at newworldcarp.com, the stuff is awesome and gobeys hate it.

The emergency can is in the glove box.

I was told about a lake in the area that holds carp. 20mins from home I decided to have a look around. There were 3 big parking lots. One spot has a nice platform right at the bank. I wasn’t going to fish but just check the area. Well….. I couldn’t resist…..I’m a fisherman… So I get the chair, new Middy waggler rod, scopex Cukk, net and a can of sweet corn. As I get to the platform I noticed a lot of fizzing going on. I put on my favorite Jaxon float and plum the depth. Turns out the depth are from 1’ to 2’. I cast my line in about 18” depth and toss out a small amount of corn. Within 15mins of casting, the first carp is on, running and running it took me forever to bring it in on a 6lb hook length. Landed it, took a picture and let it swim. Cast out again followed by a small amount corn. 15mins go by and the float disappears, FISH ON… Much smaller than the first it was easier to handle. It is definitely a great place, will be back soon. The only problem with this place: there are people everywhere that stop to ask questions, I missed some bites while chatting. I went to fish an hour but ended staying there for two cause of the interruptions. It’s worth it though.

Nice goldie Lorne, can't wait to catch one myself. WTG!!

I have 4 of the BPS Extreme rods in my collection, great backbone, sensitive, not too heavy and never had an issue with them. Great warranty to.

Used this place a few times also.

I wouldn't take that chance.

I did give him a chance. I also showed/gave him the regs, which he said he already knew. Only so much I can do.

I’ve been sick for a while and couldn’t do any fishing. Today I decided to go out for an hour or so. Get to the spot and there is a guy fishing with a huge float. As I am setting up the guy runs to me with a huge smile on his face. He starts telling me he was almost in big trouble. Apparently he was fishing with a pike spinner when the MNR officer came to do his check. The officer said “what are you fishing for?” the guy says “channel cats” (there are no channel cats in this water), and then officer says “that’s the wrong lure you’re using”. What the guy told me next was messed up, he told the officer he was going for pike and bass and told him he already caught 3 pike and 2 bass. Long story short, the officer let him go with a warning. The real kicker was the guy was so happy he caught OOS fish and ranting and raving how he got off. I was pretty peed that I packed up and left. Is there anything I could do or could have done? I think these officers are getting a little lenient.

Cool thanks for the fast replies. Gonna go out and look for them tomorrow.

I see fiddle heads every year, and never thought they where edible. Sorry if I'm starting a side post here, but what is the best way to cook them? Thanks. Daniel

Thanks again everyone. I went to JB's Fishing Depot and Steve hooked me up with the P-Line. Took it for a test drive for a couple hours and so far so good. Thin, strong, low memory and cast really nice. 100 times better then the monos I've been using. Thanks again. Daniel

Happy Birthday Brian!!

If your heading up the 400 Fish Ontario has trout worms.

Thanks all. Sounds like a great line. Maybe I should take the suggestion and buy a bulk spool, that way I can put it on all my mono spinning reels. Bernie, there's nothing wrong with Suffix, I just wanted to change to something different. Thanks again. Daniel

I need to spool a few spinning reels that usually have Suffix line on them. I'm looking at the P-Line Floroclear and wanted some opinions before I go ahead and purchase it. So, should I good with it or just stay away? Thanks. Daniel

how do I store spinner rigs/worm harnesses?

Saw this at Sail today. Great setup for sure. -
I don't think MM said anything to offended anyone. We all have our favorites, but for a starter, fishing many areas where distance casting is needed or dropping it 10yards from shore, I think the carp spinning setup will be much more effective. Paylake setup is all good and I have a setup I used twice mainly because of limited distance. JMHO BUT like what was said in the above post "to each his own". MM hows the Larry fishing?

Well Said...........

That's the one. Lots of starter to intermediate equipment.
