  1. never mind just saw the duck head....wow thats pretty cool
  2. looks more like a black bird to me
  3. Having the same problem with a 3.0 HP Jiffy 10 inch. The sad thing is I used a cheap Costco power auger last weekend which retails for $250 I think and it was superior to the Jiffy. Funny how the top of the line Jiffy can't out perform something that costs half the price. Unreal
  4. I've seen a guy use one and I have to say its got to be the biggest Piece of Crap on the market. Do yourself a favour and get a good medium action St. Croix combo for about the same price.
  5. If I didn't know how tasty Moose were I don't think I could shoot it.
  6. Hilarious....did Pete cut his hair for his wedding you think?
  7. Les Stroud would be proud.
  8. Great report....cant wait to hit the L-teezies!
  9. There was a Bugatti found in England recetnly as well....I heard it will be sold for something like 8 million
  10. How do I join the Quinte Ice fishing team?
  11. Calabogie area is awesome. Walleye, pike, perch and monster rock bass can be had.
  12. The second to last picture with the limit of walleye on the ice is what ice fishing is all about. Hope you guys enjoyed the meal! Hard water can't come soon enough!
  13. Here's my man Kerr at a burbot party from last Christmas. You can definately eat them and judging by Kerr's face he loves these fish almost as much as he loves the ladies!
  14. I think they weigh more on this side of the border....jj! Nice fish, looks like a good day on the water.
  15. Spinnerbaits, jig and pigs, weighted soft plastics. I just put a similar combo together yesterday.....Quantum PT Tour ed. with a PT rod....can't wait for bass to open! You will enjoy it.....it's a versitile combo.
  16. My dad has one, I have sleep apnea as well, but I'm too young to admit it. Works for him, when he remembers to put it on. I'm sure it will help you out.
  17. I was also considering the Kingston event as an amateur, but fo $850, can I win cash prizes or just mechandise? I checked it out on the wfn website not too long ago and it makes no reference to prizes for amateurs other than "great prizes available for amateurs". What the hell does great prizes mean? I will probably sign up if I have the opportunity to recoup some of the entry fee.
  18. I've tip'd a white or black jig head the same you would do with a real leech. I can see them working on a walleye (pickeral) rig as well.
  19. In addition to the cayenne cats also don't like the smell of citrus fruits.....halved lemons would work, I'm just not sure whether the accidity would hurt your garden?
  20. I don't have a whole lot of experience with trout fishing and now I know why....man I love my boat, deep weedbeds, and unmarked shoals.
  21. Thanks for the info Raf. I've been looking for a lefty line counter for quite some time....going to take a good look at the Okuma for sure!
  22. My local CT will only price match within 100km's.....doesn't do me much good here in Kingston. We do have one hell of a outdoors department though for anyone that hasn't visited the world's largest Canadian Tire!
  23. TB I live in Kingston. Loughborough is a pretty solid lake, some big bass caught there in the summer. It does get quite a lot of pressure, but I think more and more people are practicing catch and release bass fishing these days.
  24. Loughborough Lake opened its waters (and ice) to year-round lake trout fishing this past winter. Managed to chase a few of these hard-fighting trout over the course of a couple beautiful weekends.....most of the fish were caught on a white jig, despite our best efforts and jigging techniques with a variety of spoons. First Laker in a couple years for the Abb-meister and very first thru the ice! First ever 'intended' lake trout for my good buddy Jeffery Blay. Two trout, 5 minutes....and thats my limit for the day! Our 5 fish limit came quick during our second weekend. Brought my cousin Travis along the one weekend. He came all the way from Alberta! Travis Claims he didn't have all that great a time on the ice....maybe its because him and my uncle are used to catching these guys on Great Slave Lake in the NWT! Can't have a report without my patented 'thumbs up'! All the trout we caught were no less than 2lbs and no greater than 4lbs. As for the Big guy from the NWT, it was not weighed, but looks at least 36inches....maybe more? From what I hear it fed the gang up there for a couple nights as my uncle is a helicopter pilot (and obviously an avid angler) out west. If you do target lakers on Loughborough please practice catch and release when you can and adhere to the 2 fish limit for your sport lisence and 1 fish limit with a conservation. Can't wait to troll for these guys in the spring when the ice is out. Enjoy, Chris
  25. Back bays and 60-65*F surface temp have done me pretty well over the years. First two of 2007 13 inch crappie are generally easier to clean. Can't wait to get out in a couple weeks!
