  1. Ive got to agree with Jer on this one. I have many pictures of crappie in the 14-16 inch range that weighed 1.5-2.0 lbs that look bigger than this 3lber in question.
  2. Duck fat is the bomb.....Peanut oil is a little more economical, and all I use however.
  3. Hodgerillo will you sign the windshield on my boat? Great pics Brandon....I saw a few there on Grant's FB page a couple weeks back....thanks for sharing! That last shot is a beauty for sure!
  4. Pretty impressive. Looked like a medium size dog though. I'm sure he could post a similar time with a much larger deer however LOL. Might have to review his technique for next fall.

In my experiences the quicker you start communicating over the phone the better. I always list my cell number in my ads and more often than not get phone calls almost immediately after listing. People love kicking tires with emails, but if they take the time to contact you over the phone you know they want it. I also typically invite them to come and see the item before they commit to the purchase. With regards to people getting ripped off, it's their own fault. Same idea as falling for an email scam. Meet in person, maybe even with a friend or two and exchange in cash or equivalent. I've had far more quick sells and good experiences on kijiji than lenghty listings!
  6. Charleston is not an exception, however Loughborough Lake is open year round in this area if you are looking for an opportunity to fish early in the spring. Tight lines, Chris
  7. There is still safe ice to fish north of Kingston to the Ottawa Valley. Cheers, Chris
  8. LOL I take it you haven't seen the movie "Due Date" with Zach Galifinakis? Glad to see you're getting some serious results bro! GL
  9. Glad to help Bunk.....I'll spread the word on facebook as well..."I have like 92 friends, well 10 are pending, but I'm hopeful!"
  10. I love Gord and that other pic is great....but these just don't look natural. Wild deer shouldn't be that tame IMO. Really cool pics tho!
  11. Wait a sec, are you telling me I had a chance to meet the man, the myth, the OFC legend tonight? Would have been great to meet you in person....I've been a huge fan of your wild adventures for years. The funny thing is, we would have liked to fish our spot from last weekend that was producing numbers, but no size. It was about half way between us where it was very slushy, not sure if you saw that or not? We'll have to hook up for a fish sometime....I didn't know you were in the area! Chris
  12. With a 6 inch hole according to pi it woulda been a squeeze at 18+ inches dia. We almost always use our 10" jiffy auger. I spuded out my first hole of the day pretty big probably around 12", but I moved and got lazy....woulda been heart broken to see that come off at the hole.
  13. Thanks guys....8inch hole...problem with the 10" Jiffy tonight as we ripped the cord right out of it LOL. Felt really good to release a trophy!
  14. 14.8lbs of pure Quinte Gold. Measurements were 33"x19" It's still swimming if you want to try to catch her tomorrow.... Big thanks to my friends Dave and Larry for being a part of the adventure!
  15. Swiss Fish were caught on 40 acre shoal in the St. Larry. Bring a tin boat and come in Nov or Dec. As for skills, our crew posts trophy fish pics of crappie, bass, walleye, pike, muskie and numerous trout...you name it, we've caught it. Blind luck only goes so far. Do your research and go have fun fishing, I know we do. Funny how it takes an entire forum to get on you to finally say "nice fish" instead of "my I ask why even post a report?" You're right by the way, you're not the dick here, It's gotta be us for sharing pictures of nice fish we caught. Our sincere apologies. As Dave said, next time he'll post "Muskie Pics", but I'm sure you'll still conjure something negative to bring to that thread as well. Limp Lines there LOSER! CJ
  16. Yeah our pictures sure look like fish tales don't they? Tell you what, maybe don't be a dick next time, pm one of us and we might give you a general location. Sorry we didn't include the gps coordinates in the thread so people can hammer our spots.
  17. Personally I think the 50' is more impressive....no bias either. Plus that 47 was caught with a guide wasn't it?
  18. Internet tough guy with a gaff....look out. Back to the post. 1. 8'6" St. Croix or Loomis - (if you have the cash) 2. Quantum Cabo high vol. reel. 3. 50lb braid min and some fluro leaders 4. Musky Bucks, Suicks, Believers etc. AND LAST but not least... 5. A big damn net that you can land a trophy in....maybe something with a longer handle than a 4-5 foot gaff. Xeon - Your favourite rapala colour purple CLOWN-flash by any chance?
  19. Big bay is holding up quite well. I was out there today. 8-12 inches of good hard black ice and the top part isn't even slushy. Our group marked lots today, bite was slow. We landed 2/5 biggest was 6 lbs and we caught 15-16 jumbo perch. PM if your heading out or want some more info.
  20. Kerr were you fishin' near Jimmy's hut today? If so I saw ya there! Dog is awesome, Buck is even better. Kingston rocks!
  21. Betcha they were pissed when they found out they were all pike and had a Y bone....couldn't imagine filleting that many pike.
  22. Cool videos on youtube there Dave. Just wanted to say I'm a really big fan of the show, never miss an episode! The cast count and fish total are very innovative. Anyone who loves fishing knows everyday on the water isn't a guided trip where "shore lunch" is always included. Keep up the good work and happy new year!
  23. Spent last weekend on Pigeon/Buckhorn - temps varied between 41-45 degrees. Slow weekend, we boated 3 fish, 41 inches being the biggest.
  24. Heading up to the Buckhorn area this weekend for our annual Muskie trip. Although we've had a few incidental walleye catches over the years....usually on the troll, I would like to be able to target them at some point over the weekend. I'm not looking for someone's hotspot or secret hole, but paterns/past success in this area would be a big help! If you would prefer to exchange via private msg that is great, maybe I can exchange some succesful muskie patterns from the past few years!
