  1. What is right price to rebuild 4 cylinder Merc 115 HP (2 stroke V4). After inspecting, compression of 2 cylinders are low. Cylinders and pistons are fine. Rings are badly worn. I dont inde to rebuild 4 cylinders together. Wonder what right price is?
  2. Missed it because I was watching a hunting show. Italo is a great guy. His show has alot of good things to share.
  3. Over 6 pd smallie caught on Balsam Lake. She hit my muskie spinner so hard.
  4. Txs guys. I think I may trade in another 15 HP yammy instead.
  5. I have a yammy 8 HP high thrust 4 stroke kicker (T8) on my boat. I believe Yammy High-Thrust uses a modified prop to generate more power. However, I want more power to push my boat faster. Current speed is 4.5~5 Mph under this T8. I plan to upgrade to Merc pro-kicker 9.9 HP. Wonder if it can improve alot?
  6. Great rig!! How you compare it with Lund Tyee 1950 or Baron? I guess it's more likely a tournamnet-related boat, and Tyuee or Baron is more likely Salmon and mult-species boat (deeper and wider), right? They are all for great water.
  7. Congrats. AOY, thumb up. What deep of water did you catch these big smallies on simcoe?
  8. Thank you guys for these info. I made some similar (?) cowgirls type lures. I purchased skirts from Ebay, and put thme together with blades. Looks cool, and yes, it's cheap. May it work? I don't know, I haven't landed one using it, LOL. However I still wanna try real cowgirls. I'm told they're really productive.
  9. Anyone used this muskie lure? I try to order a couple. Wonder if it's worth $30 each (much more expenisve than most bucktail spinners)? They look mint though.
  10. A couple of months, we caught a 30~32 inch muskie at south of Georgia Island. Sadly we saw another similar size dead muskie on bottom of lake. Water was so clear.
  11. To Lower Buckhorn, I caught Muskie trolling 10" Strawberry Believer in deep water. Another good lure is TubeJig.
  12. Great report. Hope I can spend much more time on Great lake Salmon fishing next year.
  13. I rented a boat from Three castle a few yr ago. Caught a few nice size Muskie and Bass around Three Sister Island. There are a couple of small dams linked to another Lake (Lovesick?). I always had luck there. Great Lake.
  14. I had similar problems on my 115 HP Merc a couple of years. Whole trim motor/pump was replaced.
  15. You have to register your trailer if you tow your boat every time.
  16. I used to fish two lakes alot. I feel Cameron lake is more fishable, and Balsam has more trophy. Spots on Cameron are stable, meaning fish stay much longer. It has less pressure than Balsam. Ya can easily catch walleye at opener. The biggest ski I caught was 43" on Cameron.
  17. Just curious if such boat insurance is necessary. I know OFAH offers $3M third party liability insuance to their members. The membership fee is only $40/yr.
  18. Sweet ride! Although I prefer Lund type aluminum boat, Ranger 620/621 is only one of two fiberglass boats i will look for (another one is Boston Whaler). I think 57 mph makes sense if motor is 4 stroke, especially on choppy water.
  19. Thx for your advices. I think I have to get one electric downrigger installed on my boat.
  20. Hi guys Great lake Salmon season is coming. Plan to install downrigger stuff on my boat. Wonder if it's really big different between manual type and electric type? Someone said yes. I have a pair of used Cannon manual downriggers in storage. I am thinking if it's worth to purchase expensive electric one?
  21. Great report!! I was out last Sunday. Weather was crazy under 35 km NW wind. I chanegd to fish Pike in some bays. Fish was good, plus some good size LM bass. Did you start from Willow Beach?
  22. Guys Thanx for yu advices. It's no way to say it's a "Stolen" boat now. Owner has legal pleasure craft license under his name from Transport Canada. I know someones changed hull number to make an older boat to be "newer" one for better price. Of course it could be more serious...
  23. Helped a friend to see a Crestliner boat, which is a nice rigged boat. However, hull number is not valid after check Crestliner dealer. Boat is legally registered in service Canada and Transport Canada, though. Seller said he bought from another one, but doesn't have any receipts. Price is very good. You think it's worth to buy, or must go away?
