Costco Sale - Bluefin Combo - Is it a good deal?
Headhunter replied to baal's topic in General Discussion
With Costco's return policy, I can't see losing here... if the rod and reel meet your needs. Buy it, try it and if you don't like it, simply return it! HH -
Thanks for correcting me... I have double checked and you are correct, our current fighters meet Category 4 requirements, however Nato will require Category 5 compliance in the near future. HH
-
Nicely said! One thing I can add regarding the fighter jets... our current jets as mentioned are out dated. As a member of NATO, we are required to manitain a fleet of jets that meet NATO's requirements, which our current jets do not. Obviously, the new jets will meet those requirements. HH
-
Fighter jets don't help me either, well not directly, but with the opening of the far north and many foreign powers disputing Canada's ownership of that area, fighter jets patrolling will give them the impression that we are indeed serious about our north and it vast resource base. HH

Hey Doc, I didn't mean to be condescending, sorry if you took it that way... and at 31 years old, you got a whole heck of a lot of taxes to pay, before you'll move closer to the right! You are only now, beginning to enter your real "earning years". Start adding up all the taxes paid over the next 20 years and we'll have a chat then! LOL HH
-
Hey Doc... Firstly, I am not slamming you or anyone who holds beliefs such as you... but maybe I can shed some light for you. When I was younger, I to, was somewhat left leaning. As I grew older, I found that my frustration with the left grew substancially as a result of what I preceived to be massive waste. I also continue to be frustrated by the amount of taxes I have paid over time, with very little evidence of proper spending. You may find that after you have paid huge amounts of taxes over a longer period of time, you to, will develop frustrations with politicians and their spending habits. Historically, the left has had a spend first ask questions later approach, IMHO, with the right at least seemingly being more "conservative" (for lack of a better term) in it's spending habits. Ignatieff Just Resigned as Leader of the Liberals NF
Headhunter replied to bigbuck's topic in General Discussion
Maybe the Fiberals will actually elect their next leader! HH -
Bob Rae will be the new Liberal leader... then we will have two NDP leaders! HH
-
I concur. HH
-
Yes people, do get out and vote... however I do take issue with the above statement... in my mind, you have every right to complain, whether you vote or not, providing you PAY YOUR TAXES... that, in my mind gives you the right to complain. HH

Because we are not capable of defining it by ourselves? Well, thanks for that BB! When you own the house, you get to make the rules.... when you only visit the house, you live by their rules... and frankly, I am glad that some things on here get removed or altered, saves me from getting banned for letting the offending party know how stupid they really sound! LMAO HH Ps... BillyBob... you ARE one of the one's that I like! -

Man, I really do like SOME of you guys! I have nothing but admiration for the guys who run this board... imagine trying to herd this group together, with all of the differnet personalities, beliefs, upbringing etc... The amount of time invested here by the mods is incredible... and the job is usually thankless. Feel free to look in the mirror and ask yourself... did I read the terms clearly outlined when I signed up here? Don't complain about something you already agreed to, when they actually ask you to adhear to them... And while you're at it, show me one thing in life that is perfect! This place is surely not, but it's a heck of a lot better then the alternative... HH -
Pass the gin and tonic! HH

Well, I can't wait to meet most of you! Yah, even you Billy Bob! Funny place this is... I have met some great people who's generosity is frankly, overwhelming. I've stated this before, but, what the heck, I'll never be able to pay back what I get from this place... however it's my understanding that I can get shots for that! For those of you who have felt like something of an outsider... I can't suggest with more vigor... GO TO A GTG! You will meet some great people, some folks suffering from mental instability (those are the one's I apparently gravitate to) and many salt of the earth types. Once folks here know that you have just a slight mental inbalance, you will be welcomed and feel part of the group... In closing... if you can't hit it off with folks here, try plying them with beer... I've seen it work! HH
