  1. Well, it took me three tries to find a place that would fix a tire with an inner tube. When I picked it up, he told me it there was not inner tube, he justed needed to replace the valve... I have no idea why the guys at Canadian Tire thought it had an inner tube.
  2. That's interesting, you gained speed with a four bladed prop.
  3. Appearently I have inner tubes in my tires. That's what the guy at Canadian Tire told me. He said that they cannot fix it because they don't service wheels with inner tubes. I am hoping my local guy is open on Monday so I can get it taken car of soon.
  4. Has anyone else had trailer tire valves break over the winter? This is the third time that I have had a flat tire in the spring. In all three cases, it was due to a broken valve stem.
  5. I was checking out the forecast and it showed 128km/h winds with gusts up to 192 km/h on Thursday. Fortunately, they updated it before I could post and it nows shows a more manageable 16km/h out of the south. But was an interesting few minutes while I pictured the wave action resulting from those winds.
  6. It was definitely four in the mid-eighties. I didn't read the regs before that; so you could be right about a three hook limit in 60/70s.
  7. When would Flatfish have been illegal? For as long as I can remember, a treble counted as one hook when attached to an artificial lure, and four hooks were allowed per line. So, four trebles on a lure would have been legal under those rules. Under the new rules, a treble counts as one hook regardless of whether it's attached to an artificial lure or not.
  8. Interesting. I have 13" pitch on my Mercury 50hp. Perhaps the E-tecs run lower RPMs or have a lower gear ratio at the lower end so they run a higher pitch prop at lower RMPs.
  9. Flexibility may actually improve the hole shot because the flexing effectively reduces pitch. But you may lose some top end speed for the same reason.
  10. Interesting video. I understand that trailer wheels are usually lug centred while the wheels on your car are usually hub centred. https://redirect.viglink.com/?format=go&jsonp=vglnk_158950563805113&key=01dde36e9c0645e93f6b0d3674f32af0&libId=ka7i8ys10101q3kx000DAfmqv3xbc&loc=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.spoonpullers.com%2Fforums%2Findex.php%2Ftopic%2C37045.15.html&v=1&opt=true&out=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DocWAZqNGhM4&ref=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.spoonpullers.com%2Fforums%2Findex.php%3Fboard%3D2.0&title=Boat Trailer Tires&txt=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DocWAZqNGhM4

  11. Without water? Were you at least using motor muffs? If not, I would replace the impellor too.
  12. I got an email today because I was using the sizing app they have on their site. They said that three blade props perform better for motors under 120 hp. According to them the better hole shot etc., from four blades only applies to motors over 120 hp. I also have a 16' boat with a 50 hp Merc. So, I am interested in hearing how your boat performs with the two different props.
  13. Lead core will snake through the water and add some action to the presentation. You won't get the same effect with a heavy weight at the end of the line.
  14. It's a shallow weedy lake. There are not too many rocks, but lots of stumps in many areas.
  15. Yeah, a really old post; about 10 hours old when you posted...
  16. Yes. https://piranha.com/
  17. Has anyone tried a Piranha Prop? Is their performance noticebly different than aluminum props. I am planning to switch to a four blade prop. I remember seeing these at the Sportsman Show and was wondering how they perform.
  18. Good to know. Do you have a link to that information?
  19. A quarter pounder? Is a metal flare gun strong enough to fire a slug? 😉
  20. The term "assault rifle" is not legally defined in Canada. Depending on how you define it, they may have already been illegal.
  21. I just measured mine; it is a touch over 20mm They were mentioned on in a Facebook group.
  22. This is concerning if true. I thought a 10 gauge would be just under the 20mm limit; but I am no expert. https://www.csaaa.org/blair-bans-12-gauge-10-gauge-shotguns-and-hunting-rifles/
  23. I have one that I have used a few times. They work as long as you keep them watered.
  24. I am not sure. It would be more logical to make them illegal; but the government is not always logical.
  25. There are some bolt action rifles included in the ban. But most or the banned firearms are semi-automatics that accept magazines. But not all semi-automatics with magazines have been banned. For the most part, the ones that look like military firearms are banned; one that look like a traditional hunting rifle are still legal. Magazines were already limited to five rounds, so they cannot legally fire a lot of rounds per minute. They can just fire five rounds very quickly before you have to reload. Although, if you were able to get an illegal large capacity magazine, you could fire a lot of rounds per minute.
