  1. I had to try it. Waste of $. Took it off the spool after a few outings and in the garbage. Nothing but the original these days. I loved 832 for a year or two but the quality seemed to diminish.
  2. Oh thats a float tube? Lol, sorry i got sun glare on the phone. Even gnarlier yet!
  3. Wow wicked fish!!!! That must been fun in the yak, howah!
  4. meh, you going fishing today blarg? Beauty day up here in NW ontario:) gonna take the kiddos out fishing and swimming. Hope you and yours have a great day;)
  5. this is not a crime committed by ethnicity nor a community. So i find your views to be quite racist and innapropriate. Your flat out stereotyping and you should know better. Since most drinking and driving offences occur with Caucasian males should i assume your a piece of garbage to society? A piss poor parent and a waste of human that should rot in jail??? To crosshairs. Great info. Obviously i am not privy to how large these commercial fishing outfits are etc. plain ignorance on my part. Here commercial fishing is much different so i was wrong to compare the two. I've seen similar situations here with C&C and it can be pretty horrible. Hope the FNs can find a resolution for the people and the resource. Bye bye
  6. This crime could be committed by anyone. Until someone is caught, i will not pass judgement. May be Caucasian, Asian, native, etc etc. helps no one nor the fishery to point fingers with no proof. Guilty until proven innocent dont slide with me
  7. i respect your opinion bud again it's grasping at straws. Regardless i agree, whomever is doing this its wrong. If it was to support addictions however, they would be collected. So i challenge that point of view. No money in a net not harvested
  8. I'll never understand all this super heavy line stuff. I've landed so many pike, up to 47". On light braid. Never have an issue
  9. thats an awesome point of view, not. I might as well just say my opinion is nipissing anglers upset with aboriginal rights are doing this on purpose to make First Nations look bad. I'm a human though an not an ignorant fellow, so thats not how i think. The situation sucks for nature, anglers and FN's.
  10. exactly!!! Except I'll spend i few hours usually while the wife beads or sews. On the other hand i absolutely hate tying them in the boat lol
  11. will do bud. Busy working now but I'll make a few tonight and post pics tomorrow. And just for the sake of argument, I've used about every line possible lol. The only difference on the rig you wanna see is i just use a palomar and not a snell

  13. Pfffft, those Esox are a lot easier to catch than bass. Lol. Looking forward to the report:)
  14. when i first started tying i tried everything i could think of. Some turn out to be real gems. Probably one of my favourites is a double Colorado with yellow beads and a small wide gap hook. I use a 3-5" power minnow on it and walleye love it. I put on a keel sinker so i can cast them and bass and pike go nuts for it, he'll even crappie if you downsize too a 2-3" minnow
  15. Ooops wrong thread haha. Wicked nice bass dood!
  16. Spinnerbaits are deadly, i use black with silver Colorado and willow leaf blades. Strike king pit belly spinners are deady(i too fish current). Another tactic I've learned is like crappie fishing when there suspended. Small or large plastic, dropped to where you mark them, then lift and drop. Not really a jig but slower, they bite on the fall Jerk baits work too and i also love rapala dt 10's in golden shiner or crawfish patterns
  17. Sorry for the loss:( thats awesome that he left you those. Anglers can be so awesome. I just bet he knew how much those would mean to yous. Great idea on the tribute. I think i do the same
  18. i agree in principal. But we need good co's however. Last year a buddy and i got pulled over while crappie fishing. He got dinged for no life jacket. I warned him in advance and he took his lumps, he deserved it. But the co harassed me big time about my outdoors card and it left me confused. He said hed let it go this time but to go to the fort frances MNR office to straighten out the issue asap. Well i still couldn't understand the issue? I have a valid outdoorsman card (ontario) as well as a valid sport fishing license. No idea how this got brought up but he said i lived in Alberta. Well at one time i did, 6-7 years prior. But i was never an Alberta resident. I always retained my home in ontario. When I went into the office they laughed at me and said the co musta had a rough day. Nothing at all was wrong with my card nor my license. Pissed me off but also confused the heck outta me
  19. yep, right where it belongs! Lol. The pfd goes on for the boat ride or rough waters. No way an i fishing in a pfd in 5 fow in a bay on a calm day. The kiddos on the other hand...
  20. Well i had enough! Working 10 hours a day then volunteering to sandbag has gotten the best of me. Frig this. Pack up the kids and head to camp with two goals in mind. Relax and have fun:) well and fish as much as possible. Can't wait to smash big crappie outta the paddleboat haha
  21. Uh oh! Were all going p3ta!!! Lol. My belief is everything for fish is instinctual. I respect them greatly but I'm not gonna lose any sleep over filleting a few. When i do feel bad is when i deep hook a smallie through the gills and have to keep it. My wife says " whats for supper"? "Ummm, mud?" Lol.
  22. I'm dying here, excited for opener but still dealing with floods a few pics that get my juices flowing
  23. And i worked for a safety company, trained in as a safety consultant in the oilfields. It's anything BUT safe out there. Oh the stories i could share
