  1. Lol, Alberta is no place to go work for a family man, its a single guys hussle. I worked out there for years and regret ever going. I worked 12-14 hours a day for 362 days a year. When your not working your sleeping. No time for anything else. Sure makes you appreciate being with your family, if you make it out and still have one. Once i walked out i didnt work for 3 years i was so burnt out. I had no desire to work, at all. It was all family fishing and golf lol. And talk about prices! Back when i just had two boys, i payed $2225 per month in rent, and $1750 per month for daycare!!!!
  2. Thats an awesome report! I laughed at some of the other posts because a few of me longtime buddies have a show on discovery called fools gold.
  3. Best country in the world = working at 68 years old???? You guys are delusional. I love my country but my pride doesn't overshadow the truth. Canada has the potential to be the best country on earth, but we will never se that potential fulfilled. Too many people with beer in their fridge thinking all they can do is vote to make a change.
  4. lol. Just waiting for our kids to finish up at a grad party. Well be out helping today and tommorrow and possibly much more the that. At least i have beer in my fridge lol
  5. good luck to ya! Imo your way too submissive. Your a governments dream citizen by the sounds of it. And if you think there is nothing you(we) can do your pretty blind. Take a look around the globe my friend. Governments are in major heat around the globe. But it'll be ok, we have beer. And our kids have what???
  6. pretty submissive if ya ask me. Lots we can do. We own the government, not the other way around.
  7. im far from your age big cliff, but i totally understand and agree with your post. Your obviously a hard worker and a great family man
  8. lol thats all we use
  9. Just thought id throw this here. Pure vinegar will also kill ants
  10. The kids are coming with us to help too. Hope it'll show them some lessons 1) helping your friends and neighbours is apart of being human 2) how destructive water/nature can be
  11. Thanks spincast and lew:) yeah it just seems like that crazy winter weather has just carried over. We got gnarly rain forecasted again later this week, let's hope that changes
  12. Just down from our shacks 2 days ago. The water has risen about 4ft since:(barwick lighthouse and boat launch yesterday. Water is still rising
  13. With higher then normal water conditions in the rainy lake/rainy river, we got hammered with downpours and now the water continues to rise. Fort frances, international falls and rainy river have began sandbagging. FN's northwest bay and stanji are also currently in trouble. The township of rainy river looks to be in much danger, the river is feet from the township. More rain forecasted as well. Geez. We are pretty safe/elevated here but i think will go help our friends sandbag in rainy river. Crazy
  14. Yep i seen that misfish. Sad that an "inkling" is viewed as hope for so many. Citizens deserve much better then that.
  15. and increasing minimum wage is just another illusion. The wage goes up, the labor force goes down. Sounds good but on paper its ridiculous. Corporations etc just increase wage but cut hours and jobs to balance it out. A truly flawed system. David Blaine would be the best politician ever
  16. Crosshairs your input is always bang on. Always appreciated:)
  17. what???? All i was implying was the comments on the SUNS FN issues are a good place for racist drama, both ways. And thanks, i certainly am unbiased;)
  18. you wanna read all the ignorant quotes etc read the sun forums lol
  19. Our family all went and voted... Let's see what happens next???
  20. Wicked catch dood! Same as my pb, so I could relate to the fight it put up. Gorgeous catch dood, congrats!!!!!
  21. nah man walleye, crappie and perch, and even pike are easier imo. I love fishing every species i can, but bass fishing teaches me way more the any other species, and those lessons carry over
  22. And then the worst news possibly ever... Septic/electrical need work and wont be ready until late august or September:( good news is we can still utilize the property until then(weekend etc). Also cut a deal to help maintain the outside and free rent for two months once its good to go. Bad news, again, is will have a new house in our current area by October by the sounds of it:(
  23. Thanks simon!!! Gotta head up with a load this weekend and get that lawn mowed now lol. Gonna be a long two weeks to move out whats left there, move are stuff up, all while working and getting the kiddos to school haha. Looking forward to it though:)
