  1. I got a good recipe i can pm you rc. It actually smells decent too. Works great and even reduces any prior bites bumps and itches
  2. your wrong bill, that sounds dumb;)
  3. fish it out boys. We need some undercards for our fish off. Or headliners? Lol
  4. thats just mean. You hurt my feelings:( I'm telling on you!
  5. We had one brief rain and humid and bam!!!! Gnarly amounts. They dont bother me though i let them feed:)

  7. Nice report, great pics! Thanks:)
  8. this made me lol. I think hes talking about adding a stinger hook to hair jigs during the building process????
  9. yeah actually lots of people are immune. Our chief even ate some to prove he was immune. Which is as crazy as it is dumb. Because sometimes immunity fades or vise versa. Eating poison ivy is a death sentence.
  10. I live with poison ivy rashes lol. Dont bother me anymore. Get outta the bush, straight into a Luke warm or cold shower. Clothes go in wash immediately. Makes a huge difference. I only get tiny lil rashes that dont really bother me. And nothing will clean up poison I've faster than a corticosteroid cream. Dont use them often though, they'll wreak havoc later on with your joints
  11. well played. But he probably costed the tax payers more than the criminal
  12. ive watched our locals hunt. Their awesome! Lots of that traditional info gets passed down around here. Smart people... I was gonna say folks but never call an aboriginal a folk lol
  13. I'd NEVER allow that outlaw. In fact i quit freezing fish along long time ago. Only eat fresh a few times per year. But yeah i bet lots of people do that and thats just brutal. If that ever did happen id at least feed my dogs. Big no no to waste. In our house no food, fish or not, goes to waste. Utilize every thing you can. It's just common sense really.
  14. wouldn't be much but a two hit fight. Me hitting you and you hitting the ground. Hahaha
  15. Just a different idea for a thread that never gets brought up. The same old post get get boring. I liked reading the responses. It's not silly to me to create conversation of a different type. But if you find it silly no need to apologize lol. It's just a thread on a fishing board
  16. wow thats a horrible recount. Id do the same however and once did. With fish, not deer. I got stranded in the north arm of rainy lake for a week during a heat wave, in a bay during the algae bloom lol. Brutal conditions. No doubt one extra day and i was dead. Super duper dehydrated. All we had to eat was fish. Filleted with an axe haha. It was brutal. MNR never even crossed my mind
  17. So after a few responses all aiming in the same direction, at what point do we realize the resource is just applicable to us as it is to other wildlife? And I'm not talking poaching or profiting at all. I mean the basic right to feed ones self and or their family
  18. Makes a guy wonder, how were wildlife populations before us? Musta been crazy thick with wildlife
  19. I agree with animals on the rebound comment. I like it. I have zero issue with an increasing population of wildlife. They are learning large centres are easy food and thats a for sure thing. And mike if bear are moving in a lot of others are as well or will be soon. In my neck of the woods it's just normal. We've always had tons of deer, moose, bear, raccoons, river cats, badgers, bobcat, lynx, cougars etc. but deer exploded a few years back. And now everything else is too. Even down to the lil old frog. Millions of them. I use to laugh about the "their is no cougars in NW Ontario" comments. I've seen 4 now myself, which means there is a heck of a lot more then 4 haha. Chasing the deer i spose, of and they love rabbits too:)
  20. of course we do. My point is that if I'm MNR, and I'm at a distance watching you, and your catching OOS bass after bass and not relocating. Your defense of" oh i was walleye fishing" doesn't really hold any merit. If i watch you catch a bass and move your boat 50 yards or more or just relocate totally, there is a good reason to believe you are fishing what you say your fishing. It's not hard to notice boats that are fishing OOS. I could see where it could get tricky though when boats stack up
  21. i couldn't agree more. Its interesting to think about. At what point do you realize the resources are not owned by anyone? Most of us follow these laws not because we have to, but because we Cherish the resource, am i right? If I HAD to put food on the table id be okay though because of pike, thats what i would harvest. Most likely foraging to use in soups and stews. Old school ways to make it last or push further. If I could currently hunt. A nice deer would provide a lot of food, and not damage the resource.
