Lol thats awesome man. My kiddos were very similar at that age. Its really cool hes asking you about it on his own. Most kids are a lil stubborn in there own ways till they learn on their own in my experience. Hell probably have a baitcaster dialed in like a year lol

Brutal weather for opening weekend here in pinewood. 40mm of rain projected today then snow tomorrow. And its was soooo nice a month ago, go figure. I hope you guys manage to enjoy your trip regardless?

That is how it is in ontario. Immediate release of OOS fish. I agree totally on the ice fishing side. But here taking a pic of an OOS bass isnt gonna hurt the fish unless its shorefishing and flopping around on a bank. On RR cos even let you take pics of sturgeon, and there is ZERO season for them. And I appluad that(as long as your not targetting them). It does no harm to the fish

You can also get some good lunch bags etc at places like CT etc that are very similar to tackle bags. I use a hard tackle box in the boat and just switch out boxes for whatever is on the list that day. Shorefishing I have a spiderwire bag from CT that fits everything in nice neat fashion. I think it was around 60 bucks. It holds 4 trays easily and a crap ton of other things too. Great bag, tough as nails.
