Lew, Garmin all the way. I have the Nuvi 250 widescreen, and it does everything you want and more. Garmin and Rockwell developed the GPS system for the US military first, then Garmin was instrumental in selling the first primitive handheld units. (still have and use mine) For your own peace of mind giet one for your wife and daughter. just John

Major feeding and Minor feeding, plus phase of moon. The difference between the two postal codes was 3 minutes for each phase. Pretty impressive and the site is FREE!! just JOHN

I agree with Raf, Buy the best you can afford. It only hurts once. It is a matter of personal comfort in the long run. I have been using Ambassadeur 5500's, 6500's and 7000's C3 models for over 40 years, and still use them today. These reels have caught their share of bass, pike, musky and salomonids over the years. You have been given very good advice, but take your time to choose what you want. Go into a shop, ask to have the reel put on the rod you will be using, it it is comfortable in your hand then you are set. But don't rush, just because someone on the net says reel X is great, it may not suit you. It is your money and investment take your time. just JOHN

Why don't you stop by JB's on Ronson Dr. in Etobicoke (Kipling and the 401 area) Store carries several brands in various $$$ ranges. You can then compare them at you leisure, what works for one person, may not work for you. Smart shopping will give you two rods, one for casting and one for trolling. BPS carries a 'catfish' rod 9' great trolling rod, under (90$) This is a graphite/glass compound with a fast tip and a stout heavy butt section.(you will find it in thesalmon or musky rod section of the store) For trolling, I would definitely up size the reel. I like the Okuma convector line counter series, two of my buddies use Shimano Tekota line counters. Remember that for trolling musky size baits, you will need at the least 100# test braid, and a minimum of 80# fluoro leaders. Large musky baits are very hard on your tackle. What it comes down to is what you are comfortable with and $$$s and how strong you interest in musky hunting ( you will become addicted) good luck just JOHN

I am planning on upgrading my 2mp Kodak point and shoot camera I've been using since 2004. It has been bounced around the boat, and is starting to cause grief. AT the present, I can only find cameras 8 mps and up to 12 mps in the point & shoot category. Most of my photos are for the net, e-mails to families and friends and print 4 X 6 prints What is the difference in the number of pixels, and to what benefit to the higher numbers. Brand names that you have had good results or are comfortable using, would be great to narrow my research. Thanks Just JOHN
