You should PM Bill Parker he fishes Bronte so he would know.Sometimes just fishing off boat docks produces alot of Panfish be sure to use the good old reliable earth worm and I am sure the kids will be catching .Good Luck.MTP

Woke up this morning 7 degrees(46 farenheight for our US friends)not far from Montreal just checked the temperature in our pool 16 or 60F US.Looks like my kids will have blue lips when they go swimming in the pool this weekend .No matter how cold the water is they will go swimming .No brain no pain.I hope its warm in Lakair because GCD could become a red neck popsicle.Imagine seeing his nude pics and blue body.What a site that could be Out comes the coat for today MTP

Ah vous parlez francais! Roy you can get even with the nudest in Lakair. GCD going easy on my neighbour from the town next door.

Great batch of healthy fish you caught .The smaller boat is that a Thornes 12 ft tinny the interior looks identical to my 1980 Thornes. Nice Sauger ,beauty shots of nature. MTP

BaY of Quinte ,in the Napanee area ,Deseronto two of my friends use 12 foot boats near the Napanee River with ease.Walleye are plentiful.only 3.5hrs from Barrie Good Luck .MTP

Ya marriage slowed down the angling for some years but now its coming back into full swing.When the kids were young it was hard to get away as the diaper stage came to an end things got easier.I take 4 to 5 long weekends per year and the wife is cool with it, 2 trips in May.She flipped when I payed $5000 for my first boat but really flipped over what I paid for my Lund .She has calmed down since the kids come out with Dad. The great thing is my 8 year old son is into fishing bigtime he endures 12 hour days with ease.He is almost as crazy about it as me and sometimes outfishes his old man. There are days when I visit my Dads camp in Lancaster Ontario 3hrs fishing of the dock with my three kids non stop action and I have to tell the kids I have had enough.Non stop taking fish off there lines rebaiting the hooks and picture taking believe me my Rod just sits there on the ground. Now that my kids are 8,10 and 12 fishing trips are great. My wife is easy going as long as I am up to date on my to do list.Like someone says comprimise is the key. During the week is not very possible due to soccer 4 nights a week but sometimes I get out for the evening. Camping trips for me now have to include fishing ,from shore boat or canoe as long as I can get out. So for me its just getting better I am just trying to figure out how to tell her that I want a new boat something more equipped and more$$$$$$$$. Great thread.Mike the Pike

Here's my situation I am going to the Bay of Quinte Canada Day weekend.I usually take my kids fishing and all do not require a licence(under 18). My wife has no interest in fishing but will come along with kids in the boat while they fish.Sometimes she likes to read a book ,catch some rays or just take some photos. I always bring more than one fishing rod on board.So lets say the MNR comes over for a licence check.If my wife doesn't fish and has no licence will they believe us or give us a difficult time?Has anyone ever been in this situation before. I have been checked for a licence on The BOQ more than any other body of water.Yes the MNR is doing a fine job on the BOQ! So let me know.Mike
