Guys with names like Muddyriver and Paleface fish the Grand. Hummm?? 27 Sewage plants on the Grand serving 700000 people. I wonder where the sewage from the Big Horseshoe goes. Gerritt, hard to find clean water now a days anywhere. The only way the GRCA and other "Friends of the Grand" will get any funding to do their job, or to have at least something to show for,...is to make things really bad first. In this case the Grand, in other cases Gun control, Global warming, you name it. They need bad studies and horrible scientific data to push through a new plan and have every little guy think that the government is doing an awesome job. You can't fix if there is nothing wrong. From what I read is that the water has gotten better since the 60's but could use just a little more 'help', so more rules and regs for urban development, roads, pestisite use etc etc, simply more rules and regs and.. more rules coming our way, all they have to do is put out some bad data, eventhough the river is better than 40 years ago. Next time you catch a fish from the Grand, take it home and enjoy. Just not around Kitchener. I think Fishmaster has minnows, he might be out now, but he will get some again.

Sinker... the top pictures are just along the road somewhere....Clarenville to Glovertown area I believe. The boat pictures with the cod would be Hickmans Harbour. Most of the bottom pictures are in the town of Salvage. Salvage is like what Peggy's Cove is to Nova Scotia. Very beautiful unique town.

Hooks and the rings DouG. For lake Ontario you have to beef them up. Also rety the knots often both on the braid and mono. Good to hear you got out again....and you got some exciting action.

First of all it is not called Global Warming anymore but Climate Change....something along the line as the 50% rain forecast. The earths climate, the lakes water levels, the ocean currents etc goes through circles, some in 5 year, some in 35 some in 100 year cycles. And as far as Al Gore........never really believed the guy in the first place.

I am looking for some help folks. Friends of ours booked us a cottage at Golden Eagle for the end of August. I had a look at their site but no word on the info I'm looking for. How far away is the Ottawa River? How far is Elk Lake? And is there any Lake Trout fishing near this camp. I most likely leaving the boat on the trailer to try different lakes.
