  1. Gerritt looks awesome have not tried the soup yet Could u tell us what u put in the salad, I see the tomato, cucumber and feta , anything else go in or on it thx
  2. Blue Lk, that is one hot lookin chicken, our turkey could have hid behind that puppy Speaking of turkey I feel the need to put into the makings, with some of the leftover bird, one of Big Cliffs sinful recipies,,,,,,,,,,,,,TURKEY POT PIE, oh yea :clapping:pics already on page 19 from easter
  3. Like has been said , check sales and buy it yourself, u will save many Had an old clam back east , but hardly ever closed it, never got that cold Thought my wife would like some a pop up, and bought one last winter, a little short on head room , was cozy :tease:but after being out at -40ish barely collapse the damn thing , barely squished it enough to fit in back of full size truck box with cap, still looked like a just deployed chute behind a dragster, sold it after 2 more attempts,,,,,but if the winters were more moderate the pop up is nice, can throw it in a boggan etc
  4. Have not watched baseball for years but after 7th inning I am converted again JUST did not like seeing the 2 mothers crying trying to protect their babys heads from flying beers cans, no reason for that except they had too much themselves, you can voice your opinions on a call but don't endanger others safety especially young ones, what did they do wrong
  5. What Brian said,,,,,,,,good for her, great read
  6. Mister G that's why snow removal can be fun lol
  7. Sinker yes, bring it on, when the ice roads open when can get to so many lakes that we r unable to in summer Fish Farmer , sorry , no the picture was hot off the I phone 5 this past thanksgiving weekend
  8. Hope u gets lots of snow, enjoy I agree, the price is fair, only 2 fill ups for my truck, trails are awesome back there and yes they cant be groomed for free, up here they try to groom the trails in town, but once outside the limits look out for rocks, your on your own, best sledding here is just on the lakes
  9. Rick not to take away from this thread at all but in fairness dave the p1 and 2 are keeping some very qualified people out of the mines just saying. qualified at heavy equipment and policing but because a person is p3 its gutter ball material up here, yes the mines are great but u have to get through the territorial politics first, sorry Rick for posting, u have been given some great advice and u know our family thoughts are with you
  10. Rick pros and cons for sure Silly question but do u drive to the mine or is it a fly in If drive to then how long is the commute with 14 hour shifts You wouldn't see as much of the family which is very important to u But u then have a long term steady income However in your contract position that u are currently in, would they have u back next year if it is seasonal If so you might be able to find something else for the winter But as said u have to trust your heart You will make the right decision for u and your family
  11. Dan D that looks like a terrific success and nice weather also by the looks of it
  12. HA HA thanks guys Lew I will take all the winter u want to give us lol, ice roads and sledding and fishing o boy
  13. and when we have our conventions we don't have to rip the tax payers off at 100 bucks per person for dinner, we just have to drum up some grup from recipies from the cooking thread, moose, pig skins with hamburger rolled in bacon , complimented with your famous turkey pot pie along with some French onion soup, and then we just bring a bunch of tents to hang out in the hosting members back yard, I hope sue does not mind. has potential
  14. Cliff u know what to do , there are enough common sensed git er done people on this board to start our own party , we r frugal, smart and have representitives all over this country
  15. At least he didn't nt mention the other parts ?? Hope u got my pm. Congrats on the hunt
  16. was a great show for sure, didn't see the meteors glad u caught them on camera
  17. love it, shooting and fishing at the same time
  18. lol man we can all relate to those pictures
  19. Dan D and Klinker, thanks for the advice, the site manager and the two foreman park beside the new office of theirs which is a good distance from the bailing facility and they only have outside outlets to plug in their own vehicles during winter, the rest have to still park up by the bombing zone where they have hydro for their vehicles, but I will get my wife to run the shelter idea by them, u can be sure the other city workers downtown would have their noses out of joint if it were to happen to them lol thx again for the advice and suggestions John
  20. Thx Aplumma I suppose a cover is the way to go Honestly it looks like a gallon of paint has been poured on it and that's daily. They have to park right beside the bailing facility I can just see the look on her face now as she pulls the tarp off ? lol
  21. thx everyone, covers are great in summer but I have had block heater cords snap at minus 45, we sold our zero ice fishing hut for same reason, I wish we had reasonable body shops up here that would charge a civil rate for painting but this is the north, ouch''''', I told a guy up here what mayco charged 5 years ago in Barrie to paint our truck cap,,,,a Leer cap, he just laughed until I showed him the receipt, we have only 2 shops up here, that r proper, sort of, they both want to retire at45 with their millions and yes getting it off sooner than later is best but she cant get out to spray it off that often
