That's a real mans meat slicer lol, bought one from ctc a few months ago when we tried Cliffs pork belly recipie, which is also very good , the one from ctc is kinda flimsy but still gived a pretty uniform cut, yours will last forever by the looks of it, well done

Dan that looks incredible, we cannot get a slab like that up here at all, interesting recipie, please keep us posted on the results, by the way we tried the egg in the microwave with a bit of water,,,,,,turned out perfect thank you , I can get pork bellies in a 2 lb slab only, but am going to give your recipie a go

That is something in the brotherhood of fishing u do not do period. Who ever did this is not a fisherman but a criminal some things u just don't do, but those scum bags don't get it because they simply DONT CARE, believe me I would only shake his hand once

OK so I am on an egg theme this week, Thought I would try to make eggs benedict this morning for the family, and no I did not ask Rick to post a pic of this one, they are worse if u can believe it than the boiled egg pic, The plan was to have potato patties as the base with bacon, ya baby, on top with the eggs over bacon , topped with hollandaise sauce,,,,,,,,,I was able to salvage the yokes lol, but in some videos they show some strange white substance attached to the yoke, when they come out of the pot :wallbash: Anyone have a surefire way of doing the eggs, I tried a medium, boil for some and then a low boil Thx

All good advice We generally run them under cold water for 2 to 3inutes but probably the eggs are too fresh and and we need to cool them off longer

Dan D thank you as well for an interesting read, it was just one of those questions u were afraid to ask on this thread, but what u say makes perfect sense, we will check the dates more carefully as to what eggs we will use for what purpose, also I really appreciate your comment about the egg floating or sinking, great advice,,,my son started laughing when I forwarded this question but even he learned something :tease:like my father used to say ,,there is no such thing as a dumb question, I have come out of my schell, I feel so much better,now I gotta go get me some more eggs cheers or should I say aregggggavarchy

Yes Rick we run then under cold water for maybe a minute or so and tap the schell all around to have mini cracks all over, then try to lift the membrane away some let go but some well are no so co operative

Some one else must have this happen :tease:we boil the eggs, run them under cold water for a couple of minutes and then crack the schell all the way around ,,,,,But some schells just fall off the egg but others have that membrane cling to the egg like glue even when they were done at the same time, WHY ? A dozen eggs turns out to be 8 lol My wife thinks its a conspiracy by egg farmers to have u buy more lol Any eggggspert advice

Cliff u are totally right have done that with Chili or warm corn mixed in with mashed taters and place over the salad Don't know how good it is till u try it.
