  3. Its on the road to Fort Frances ...the 502...yup right next to the road...Pritchard is less than 1 m before it on the same road....thats great info about the walleye, there is a little house by the lake there, never had the nerve to go ask the occupants if there are fish in it. Thanks again for the info..guess i'll find out soon enough.
  4. Thanks Leechman, i will be careful. Its only 3 feet deep where i was standing.....i wont be trying any deeper waters untill at leas next Tuesday...although i might try a small pond around the corner thats been frozen over since the 10th on Friday/Saturday...all depends on whether i can get someone out there with me...you know...hold onto the rope tied to me from shore....lol.
  5. I agree with the keep it simple idea. I was sat next to a guy last year who was using some mono line attached to red maple twigs, a sinker set 12 inches above a plain hook with a medium minnow. There's me with my fishfinder, fancy rod rests, Northland thumper jigs,........what happened?....i caught a tiny walleye...he was pulling them out one after the other...some nice size ones too, CLICK HERE FOR A REPORT FROM THAT DAY LAST YEAR Anyway, with all that said, the same method does not always work, and presentation for the same species on different lakes varies hugely, guess it depends on what the primary forage is...sooooo....keep it simple...but maybe have about 200 simple techniques available to you...lol....guess that really helps ya....NOT!
  6. WATTCH OUT SIR ALEX....AFC WIMBLEDON ARE COMIN TO GET YOU!
  7. Just thought ...why did i Pm this info? Well i was a bit hesitant to put links to other sites is all, but i have done it before and i'm not doing it to advertise anyone, simply to pass on info...very good info IMHO....so here's what i sent MrEh...... DICUSSION/REVIEWS RE: SHOWDOWN FLASHER MORE SHOWDOWN INFO/DISCUSSION

  9. Great report, too bad about the skunk, it happens. Must have been great to get out with such experienced anglers! LOLOLOL.....had to laugh at the uneventful let down journy back......I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN......felt that way a few times this year. Thanks for sharing that.
  10. makes me go HMMMMMM.....governments that say they have no moneyto do this or that....then suddenly all of them can come up with gazzillions!......of our money!!!!
  11. i'm thinkin of getting one of those flip up shelters that folds into a sled. I mean i stand out there in -35 with 30kmh winds...uncomfortable but bareable...just. My reasoning is....a place to warm up...cant see myself wanting to sit in the dark, i need a sled for the snow machine, and my wife has said she will join me way more often if i have one...bonus! Now its just which one...lol...Frabill, Clam, Otter, Eskimo........
  12. nice one bigugli, worth braving the weather in the end.
  13. One of the fun things being new to these shores ( been here one and a half years now) is that, never having fished for any of these species before we arrived in canada, means PBs come thick and fast....all my PB's in those catergories came this summer. 30" WALLEYE ON 1/4Oz CHARTREUSE THUMPER JIG AND MINNOW IN 12 FOW 20" SMB ON 3" PEARL REBEL TOPWATER POPPER OVER SHALLOW REEDS/CABBAGE 41" PIKE ON 1/4 Oz JIG AND MINNOW IN 1 FOW ROCKY SHORELINE( I THOUGHT I WAS SNAGGED ON SHORE....LOL)
