I dont fish crappies, but i have cappy combo reels on all my rods, lol, just switch 'em over in the summer. I have always liked Shimano...i also like rear drag systems, gives you the opportunity to quickly give slack, also perfect for setting a deadstick presentation for Lakers with drag set to freespool. I've had my eye on thess ones ( the small 1500 series) but they are only available in Europe. love these reels

Heehee....yeah...i did not realise i'd actually vocalised that until i watched the clip when i got home....a bit mean spirited....but it made me laugh too....guess i get a litle competitive....sometimes....but Lew gives as good as he gets.

Hi All, Had a brutal few days at work, was sooooo tired Friday night was not gonna go fishing today, but the body clock had me up at 6:30am. I was kinda considering going, then about 8am Lew called to see where we wee going. I had to go now.....lol. We decided to stay local, no epic journeys, so Thunder lake it was. Got there about 1:30 am, and not much shoing. Was about an hour before any action, and even then it was a tiny little guy for me. ITS A START We saw fish on the screen, but the bite was slow, i hooked into 2 nice fish and lost them in the next hour, and Lew landed a lunch for one. LUNCH FOR TWO..... MAYBE 2 <embed width="448" height="361" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" src="http://i263.photobucket.com/player.swf?file=http://vid263.photobucket.com/albums/ii158/vishuscirquel/lunchfor2.flv"> The next hour was Lew spent trying to coax what we thought was a Walleye on the bottom, I managed to get a 21" and a 24" in that time. Credit to Lew , he managed to get the fish that was messing him around for an hour...it wasn't a walleye but a baby laker....more like a sardine....lol. LOL...thats tough cuz the price goes up and down by 30cents a litre every day it seems!!! Its about a 60 litre tank empty...about 70 litres if i fill it up the tube. average price is around 80cents a litre at the moment here so i'd say it costs around $36 from a quarter tank left. take off my 3cents loyalty bonus for Fasgas and its around $30 for 3/4 tank

I own a canyon 4x4 crew cab...love my truck...but would not get one that wasn't 4x4. I wont even say how much it cost new....but the incentives were right and the economy was different back then...lol a year and a half ago. great little trucks...but that sounds very pricy if its not 4x4 considering how old it is. Lots of bargains to be had at the moment...its a buyers market...especially with the Big # who are up poop creek without a paddle. I even saw an ad from a dealer in winnipeg for the Nissan version of the Canyon crew cab 4x4......and they were throwing in a new 4x4 quad and a Snowmobile in the deal.....ok the unit itself was 39,000, but buy it and sell the quad and snowmachine and there ya go! All i'm saying is maybe dont leap just yet...i just did that as well with my snowmachine and got burnt with lots of regrets...not how i wanted to feel after buying my first ever snowmachine.........I hate giving advice probably because i'm crap at receiving it...and listening...but i would just like to say shop around a bit or bring that price around the 12,ooo dollar mark for starters.

Thanks for the replies guys, certainly was a contrast between the 3 days....started real slow and got better and better. Just wish lew and dave could've got the good bite on Thunder. certainly was big...about 2/3 the size of a golden retriever...or maybe that's what it was snacking on Glad you enjoyed that twighlight....i could never fish without my Lowrance....dont know how i ever did before! Yeah Sinker it was fun....can't wait till opening weekend....last year that was only 2 weeks after ice out, my buddy Dave was in there with his boat, the trout were still shallow and he was hitting 20"+ walleye and 25"+ trout along one stretch of shoreline in 25'FOW on little joe walleye spinners on light spinning rods....OH YEAH! COME ON 3RD WEEKEND IN MAY ! I'm gonna Keep on it as long as i can, but with the baby due anytime now...time is running out for me....so you'll have to take me to that Walleye/Laker venue you went to last week sometime soon Dale...sound good?
