  1. Beautiful!! Man, I can't wait to hit the road north on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. Sounds good Dan...we are leaving for Restoule, Saturday morning, so hopefully all is decided by then! Great thing that Ryan and yourself are putting together here.
  3. Awesome gesture from a class guy!! How close are we to confirming a specific date? Even if it ends up being the 28th, Juli and myself are going to do our best to participate.
  4. That's better....I'll say 5 1/2 lbs.
  5. Beautiful, as usual!! Must be something about the name Pete and muskies, eh GBW???
  6. Thanks for all the replies guys!! Think I've seen enough good endorsements to go pick one up in the next day or two. Cheers!
  7. Is that the energizer you are speaking of, for $79.99?? I only have four days until we leave, so don't really have time to wait for a sale, unfortunately.
  8. Good stuff, TJ...looks like a couple more "fishing queens" in the making!!
  9. Nice, Joey...that's a big-ass spinnerbait, probably work great for musky as well.
  10. Did you buy it at Walmart for that price? Must have been a rollback, followed by a rollforward now, LOL! It was the big one I looked at for $107. I'm liking what I hear about the longevity of them from you guys.
  11. Thanks, Roy!!! Think the one I saw last week was $107 at the Walmart in Kitchener...haven't looked in Woodstock, yet. Pretty sure I read on the forum somewhere that a few of you guys said the energizers were way better than the Nautilus that CT sells.
  12. I realise there have been lots of battery threads on the forum, just a quick question. Anybody using the deep cycle Energizers sold at Walmart? What do you think of them? Heading to Restoule in four days, need a new deep cycle for around $120 or less. Thanks in advance!!
  13. Awesome Ryan, she's a "cutie"!!! Now answer, the question everyone really wants to know...does Dave practise that crazy laugh, or does it come naturally...
  14. Go for it!! You can never have too many "weapons" in the fishing arsenal!!
  15. I figured that, but, it's still a tough question...I'll answer as if I could only use one or the other for the rest of my fishing days. In that case I would say spinning...can find models in any size for any kind of fishing!
  16. Nah, less travel...more FISHING!!!!!
  17. Man, that is waaaaay to general of a question. Depends on species of fish, type of bait etc...etc.... I'll say for musky/pike/heavy cover bass, baitcast all the way. For all my other types of fishing spinning reel (including steelheading, eventually I will probably get a "pin", but, for the faster water I fish my spinning reel suits me fine)
  18. That's awesome (the gas motor allowed but trimmed up) saves taking the motor off the boat! If they're really concerned could just remove the gas tank as well, which is probably what I will do if I can make the date that is decided on.
  19. Hey, Dan and Ryan...one of the September days (voted the 11th) is probably better for me as well, now.
  20. Thanks, love my Legend...still haven't mounted my seats I bought months ago...got some great advice from Drifter16 and Jimmer on possible ways to mount them. Might just wait until fishing is over this year, LOL!!
  21. Thanks, Lloyd...I think, LOL!! She kicked my butt yesterday on the bass...that crazy electric blue Yum trailer was magic rigged on that spinner harness.
  22. Tough fishing, but, that is a really nice gator!
  23. Headed to Lindsay late Saturday afternoon for a couple quick hours fish in the evening, as well as a friendly local derby/meet and greet on Sunday. We caught a pair of decent (19 1/2 and 18 inch) walters Saturday night in the short time we were out... Both were released, one caught trolling the other in the shallow weeds. Sunday was the derby, had a great time! The weather stayed good until the end at 3 o'clock. Met a great group of guys and gals. Couldn't buy a walleye that day. Juli was the bass fishing queen. Didn't catch any really large fish, but, some decent ones and lots of numbers. The bbq afterwards was amazing, venison burgers to die for!!!! Couple pics of Juli's bass The storm we drove through on the way home was pretty intense, driving rain, some trees were down. Didn't take any pics. Heading for Restoule on Saturday.
