  1. Good luck!! If you find it/them, perhaps an extra 10" hole for the "perp"!
  2. Oops, my mistake...still beautiful, and, I'm sure they tasted awesome!!!
  3. Fantastic report Tyler. Those brookies are beautiful, and, your buddies GF's pike was amazing...I agree with you, too bad it was killed, but, wow anyways!!
  4. Congrats to all the winners!!!!
  5. Good luck Doc!! It isn't the outdoors, but, stability/security is sometimes more important.
  6. I still get a chuckle out of that photo of Juli, myself and the boys...Juli is about 5'2", but is standing at the bottom on a slope...makes me look about 6'8", instead of the 6'2" or so that I really am. By the way, nice gesture Geoff!!
  7. Missed it last year, but, there is a good chance that we'll be there this time!! Looking forward to meeting a bunch more OFNers in support of a good cause
  8. Very nice!! Some days it sure pays to brave the elements
  9. I'd be giving the tips line a shout really quick!!
  10. Nice going, have to give that spot a try soon as well How thick is the ice, Rich?
  11. Nice going!! No better eating than those babies!
  12. Great stuff, guys!! Really looking forward to making this year's Fish-A-Thon, the best yet!! I know Ryan is really busy right now, but, we'll all get the ball rolling soon. Fantastic Dan!
  13. Some great points being made...didn't realise I was giving Terry an all day project when I posted this Next time let's just go fishing!!!!!
  14. Just about finished getting mine all set, Lowrance X100C. I carry it all inside an old tackle box, the unit, 12 volt battery and transducer + cable. Once I reach the holes, I mount the Lowrance on top of the box. Have a drilled hole, use a bolt, washer and wing nut set-up to hold it on top. I've used pipe insulation foam for the floatation on my transducer cable. Much cheaper alternative than spending $160 on an ice conversion pack.
  15. This becomes one of those things that becomes almost impossible to "police". All comes down to ethics, I guess. Figured it would make some good "winter fodder" for those of us who aren't/can't be on the water today.
  16. Yeah, did a bit more looking myself. Think Terry is correct as well, but I totally agree with your point. One of the replies on the "other forum" stated that the non-fisher was to record who gave them the fish, as well as the date they were received. Obviously the best way to find the correct answer would be to contact the ministry...although they have given conflicting answers on questions before...
  17. Just wondering if there is a limit of how much fish a person can have in there possesion if they are not a fisher person. i e if i gave my neighbour my daily limit of perch could he accept more and store them in his freezer? I'm not looking to break any laws it is a hypothectical question. Is there limititaions on game given to you, that is caught leagally. As if I'd ever give away all of my hard caught booty. lol Just interested in your opoin on this topic since there is nothing in the regs This question got me thinking, did a quick google search, look at the regs...didn't come up with a definitive answer. I'm sure many of us have given a fish or two to friends or family that don't participate in our beloved sport. When does this push over the line, or become a loophole for those that wish to abuse limits?? Things that make you go, hmmmmmmmmmmm
  18. Dug this one out of last week's vault to give all that responded, and, PM'd a thank you I ended up booking two nights up at Brooks cottages near Loring. Really looking forward to a nice little winter getaway, and, some ice fishing with my best fishing buddy...yeah, Rick, Vince, Lloyd, etc...I'll let you know if she gets the "biggest fish" Wanted to give a special thanks to "Irish" for the offer he set me up with...if we had a few more days/nights to make the extra travel time worth it, I would have jumped at that one. Maybe next year, and, it is definitely on our short list of summer destinations.
  19. Finally watched the show, recorded it, last night. Entertaining episode, gotta love musky fishing. Couple of those "jump shots" were fantastic!! Loved the banter between Dave and Pete As for the hockey, enough has been said about that game. Let's just say, next year's team will have alot of inspiration to win. They will also have ALOT of pressure on them not to be the team that makes it three years without gold, and on home soil as well.
  20. Seems to be a common problem with a bunch of the so called ice lines. Thanks for the input.
  21. Nice Dan!! Was a pleasure meeting you at the Fish-A-Thon, looking forward to next year's event.
