  4. Awesome report and fish! Looked like a GREAT day weather wise too. It's great to see so many great reports this late in the year, considering October was such a cold and rainy mess!
  5. Great report and nice looking eyes!! BOQ was great on Saturday...couldn't believe the weather we had. I cant wait til next spring/summer as well....looks like it's gonna be a long winter!!!
  6. I think I remember you....if it was around 630 then I think we did run into eachother. How was your day out there? Hope you had success!! Guess we should always wear OFC wear!!! Cliff
  7. My wife (blyght) and I had the pleasure of meeting up with fishindevil and fishergirl72 last night at our place. Our first meeting of fellow OFC members was great! Even the kids had a great time together. Anyhow, fishindevil invited me to join him on what may have been his last BOQ trip of the year. I was honoured to be the first guest on his new Lund!!! Even fishergirl72 hasn't been aboard as of yet! Let me tell you, it's an awesome boat! We were in the water at daybreak, 7:00am, and it was overcast, a warm 9C (48F for our American members) with a light south wind. It was hard to believe we are only a few days away from December with this kind of weather. We headed out and we each caught 1 nice Walleye in the first hour.....here are some pics.... Here was my catch....approx 9 lbs fishindevil brought this one in...a nice 11 pounder The bite was off after that, but I learned a lot from fishindevil today. Thanks fishindevil....hope we can get out again some time. Oh yeah...it was different fishing with daylight...LOL
  8. WOW...TALK ABOUT EXTREME!!!!
  9. Yep...looks awesome! I'll have to look into that!
  10. hmmm.....why not talk about this IN chat lol
  11. I like the new board. More functionality....and oh yeah..... GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Dare to dream....maybe one day.... Maybe I'll ask Santa!!!! Thanks for the laugh
  13. Wow!! Amazing fish!!! I think, at least until I get better and more experienced, that I wont fish for somthing that could literally have ME for dinner!!!!
  14. I view this board at home and work....but could only choose one....for the record on this poll I chose work...but it works at home too.
  15. Get medical attention right away....just log off and go...eyes are nothing to play around with.
  16. LOL...before today, I had maybe 3 PM's in total. Since this post from last night, I've had 8. Some have asked where we were, some have offered trades for info, and some just to say "great work and DO NOT TELL ANYONE". Just so people know, we are not ready to give up this location....it literally took us 6 weeks of fishing about 4 times a week at night....freezing our butts off in rain, wind and even snow.....trying new things....trying new locations....going home empty handed on most nights....buying and trying different lures....logging water conditions, wind speed and direction etc.... The payoff was golden though!!! It may never happen again to this degree, but at least we had our one great night.
  17. LOL...he's just a busy guy.
  18. Ouch!!! I'm flinching in pain just thinking about what you are going through. Hope you get better real soon!!!!
  19. When you write a PM, you have to click the box that says "save to outbox"...then it will be there for you to see..... Same thing happened to me the first few times.
  20. Good morning! For some reason I'm very tired today...slept in...was late for work....YAWN.
  21. Great report and a beautiful day! Too bad you didn't catch anything, but being on that boat getting skunked beats a good day at work!!!!
  22. Thanks for the great post!!! We knew we had a great night going, but we had no idea just how big until after reading your post! We were fishing off shore....we are poor and boatless....hehe. One thing though...blyght is my wife....LOL. Here's a picture of her in the summer....without 4 layers of clothes under and oversized coat.....
  23. Joining this messageboard and getting great advice and motivation - Free 2 new pairs of warm gloves - $60 Landing 60lbs of Walleye in 3 hours - PRICELESS!!!!! Blyght and I decided to try a new location and new lures for our fishing tonight. After landing four 11 pound+ Walleye in the last 6 weeks, we thought our season may be about over.....that is until tonight.....we landed 5 and lost 1...the smallest was a 10 pounder!!! Take a close look at our NEW coats....LOL...looks like we'll need them washed after tonite!!!! On the first cast of the night I had a hit...FISH ON!!!! This one was 11lbs, 30" long with a 17" girth. The following are the rest of the pics.... Blyght caught this one....12.25lbs, 29" long with a 18.5" girth I caught this one.....11.25lbs, 30" long with a 17.5" girth I also caught this guy...10lbs, 28.5" long with a 16" girth Finally...the biggest one of the night....a NEW PERSONAL BEST for Blyght....a huge 14.25lbs, 32" long with a 20" girth!!!!! There were a few key factors that we believe led to our success tonight.....the first is this board! We were talking about it and although most of our nights yield NO fish, reading all the reports on here motivated us to keep on going out and trying! The second....and VERY helpful tonight was all the advice on warm gloves. We needed LOTS of pairs tonight as they kept on getting wet. We went out and bought a few different kinds to try out and they kept our hands nice and warm on this chilly night...there was frost on the car when we left for the night. So....THANKS EVERYONE!!! PS....All fish were caught and successfully released....we want to catch them again next year when they're fatter....hehe
  24. Ok..maybe the guys who dont cook are afraid to pipe up. I'll start. I do BBQ when asked to...usually the summer, but I bbq'd stuff just this past weekend. My wife does almost all the cooking...maybe once every 3 months, I'll cook dinner....then again I only know how to cook a few "real meals" that meet my wife's strict nutritional limits. For instance...a suitable family meal for me would be a big chunk of steak....period!! She insists on these green things called vegetables. I used to be the fast food king....and years ago, my wife asked me to go to the grocery store with her. I went and exclaimed "HOLY CRAP!!! THEY HAVE STORES THAT SELL RAW FOOD?? THAT'S SOOOOO WRONG!!!!"
  25. Welcome to the board! I'm relatively new as well, but I found this board is excellent! Enjoy!
