Hey there fishindevil! Glad to hear you made it back safe and sound. Sounds like you had a great weekend out there...13.3 pound Walleye! Congrats on that one! Cant wait to see the pics....you are posting them right??? Talk to you later, Cliff

I went to a website to post my picture of that Walleye I caught back in October. (http://www.ontarioanglerawards.com/Splash.cfm). I had no idea, but they send a certificate in the mail....and I received it yesterday. You can order extra cool things like pins and crests. The money for these are used for studies, research and other conservation initiatives in the province of Ontario. Here's a pic of the award....pretty spiffy!!! For those interested, here's a pic of that 12.5 pounder.... Later everyone! Cliff

Ummm, Squirrel Melts... Can I Hunt Squirrels Downtown?
ccmtcanada replied to FishHeadRic's topic in General Discussion
No need to hunt with a gun...just drive around...sooner or later on they will run right under your wheels. -
Here's our mutt....he's a Pekingese/Shih-tzu mix. My wife always wanted a Harley Davidson Motorbike, but I told her to name the dog Harley, cause it was the closest she'll ever get to owning one!!! This first pic is him at 12 weeks.... Here he is at 9 months... His fishing moment occurred at Lake Scugog....he was walking backwards....right off the boat landing and into the lake!!! My 4 year old laughed silly for over 20 minutes, while the poor dog shivered!!!

Hey there Nautifish...or Amazon...or whatever....hehe I watched more of your videos tonite. Great job on them!! You have a real talent for editing clips! My fav was the fishing with family and friends video. It really captured the fun of fishing. Oh yeah....there was that one video I hope no one here sees (You know....Amazon girls gone wild)....sorry I had to mark that one "offensive" because of adult content.....

Some of the best memories of my father (died in 1994) were trips to a cottage every summer. We'd sit on the dock and I'd catch tons of sunfish and pearch. When I was really young (around 5 or so...that would make it around 1975), he'd act as excited as I was. He would fish with the big guys later in the day, but he'd always make sure to spend time with me. Unfortunately the cottage we used to go to was sold and that brought fishing to an abrupt end for me. Skip ahead to May 1993. My dad had been fighting cancer for about a year. After his second round of chemo, he called me and said he hired a charter on the BOQ and would pick me up. We spent the whole day on the water, catching mostly small things. All those memories of childhood came back. I think he knew this was going to be his last fishing trip.....he died in Feb 1994. I was honoured that he wanted me on his final fishing trip. Skip ahead again to 2006. My wife and I were looking for things that our whole family could do together. We have a 14 year old and a 4 year old so it was hard to find something we all could do together. My wife and I went to a local pier in the summer and we saw lots of ppl walking around and as we headed out, we saw lots of people fishing. That afternoon, we bought the kids fishing rods and the next day we headed back to the pier. Both kids were having a great time out there....and the longer we watched them, the more my wife and I wanted to throw a line in the water. We looked at eachother and I took off to Canadian Tire to get a few more rods and fishing licenses for the two of us. That did it!!! My wife and I are "hooked" on fishing again. My 4 year old loves it so much that we've had to bribe her from a dock after 9 hours of fishing!!! She has a fish book and she has to match each of her fish to that book. She can now identify fish better than I can. My wife (blyght on this board) and I get out as often as we can and had some great success catching Walleye. She has landed a 13 lb monster and I caught an 11lb and 12.5 lb eyes. We cant wait until next spring....my 4 year old saw a truck today with a fish on it and said sadly "I wish it was summer again so I can go fishing". Thanks Dad!!! Because of him, I'm now passing this great sport to my kids.....

I believe the security features from an admin standpoint are much better. There seems to be more flexibiilty and user features here as well....and well....yes...to keep up with the Joneses?

Couldn't agree more...the dock in the first pic I posted in this thread comes up to about your knees...the water was so shallow the dock was practically sitting on the bottom of the pond. When at a pier or anywhere where water is even a little deep, or it's a long way to the water, she has her PFD on!!!!

Awww crap, now my wife and boss will know what I do at work all day...thanks!!!

LOL...this is sounding like Fishing Anonymous!! Hi...I'm Cliff and I have a fishing problem..... I joined the board in Oct...just last month. My wife and I fished as teenagers, and re-discovered it this past summer. You should see us out there shivering with high winds and freezing cold temps, but hey...like I said....I have a fishing problem.... Does anyone have pics of my kids? I'm beginning to forget what they look like....LOL

My little one started fishing this past summer....she's 4 and we had to bribe her off of docks after being out from noon til 9pm!!! Here's a picture of her first fish....caught on her Barbie fishing rod. I'm lucky...my wife loves fishing as much as I do, so we make it a family outing as much as possible. Notice the cord tied around the rod?? Just wanted to make sure it didn't end up in the water...the other end was tied to the dock....hehe.

Very cute! Do they have their first fishing poles yet?
