  1. For me, a new boat owner and relatively new to the sport, fishing with a partner is key.....especially on new waters. (which for me is just about every lake...LOL). On the other hand, if I had waterfront property, where I had a boat docked all the time, I'd head out solo as much as I could...something about how calming it would be. As it is, I only get out in a boat maybe once every two weeks on average....and trailering to a lake is always at least an hour away, I'd rather have someone with me. Good thread...I'm sure plenty will chime in!
  2. Wow...that's pretty cool kickingfrog!! Thanks for the insight!
  3. No problem Johnny....was looking for some pics of sunburns in past posts but couldn't find them. I remember posts about burned feet from sandal wearers, but couldn't find any of them. Some pics that should have shown up that were hosted on other sites didn't show in the thread any longer. I did a search for sunburns, but that returned about a bazillion threads. I knew there were pics out there of people with burns, but they didn't mention them when they posted it, so search didn't help. I hated having a bottle of sunscreen for that part of the song...your pic fit in quite nicely!
  4. Attaboy Victor! She looks like a fine fishing vessel!!!
  5. LOL....I took french for 3 years in high school, but cant understand spoken french. I can read it and get the gist of it, but spoken...may as well be Japanese.....
  6. Hmm....I dont get it. I know they shouldn't be drinking beer in the boat....LOL.
  7. Will is becoming a carp activist....
  8. Great news! I'll have to see what's left in the bank account to see if I should buy a few or not....LOL
  9. Awesome report and congrats on a great first muskie!! Sinker is a class act....he took Bly and I out the weekend before and put us on fish...he sure knows his spots and techniques that's for sure!
  10. Great report Sean! No pic = I don't believe that jig story....LOL. Now that you are back into fishing, I can feel in your words how much you miss your old stomping grounds. At least you're back up there in a few months!
  11. Here's another shot of Coho fry that I found...
  12. Hmm...hard to say...found this image on the net....I'd say it looks closer to chinook though When I read the thread, I thought you were frying them to eat....lol
  13. Come on in!
  14. Thanks...right now in my canoe, my knees almost hit my chin when I'm sitting in it (at least it feels that way). An hour or two and my back is screaming!!
  15. I'll answer for Wayne since he's not around.... He just sends them to the third deck...there's a 3 piece bathroom on his Lund. It's right beside his 32" wide screen fishfinder/TV
  16. Wouldn't suggest it in November on the BOQ....hehe.
  17. I was wondering how this came back, but this reply was the best....LOL I suppose he's not lying....a certain percentage released back in the water, the rest released to his dinner plate.
  18. .....double post...
  19. We have a bucket, a blanket and toilet paper for the ladies on my boat. No need for further description right?
  20. Wow...those are some HOGS there!!! And the fish were big too!!! Joking joking.... Great stuff....awesome report....they put up a great fight that's for sure.
  21. Loved the report Jigger! You had tough conditions, but re-thought your tactics and got your first muskie of the year....I'm still learning about fishing from a boat....and I have TONS to learn, but reading reports like yours help me out a lot. That pic...doesn't look like you're sitting on anything...kind of a mindfreak moment....haha.
  22. Was going to post the same thing. If he's going to emulate a great muskie hunter, then Lew it is! Great stuff...congrats on the PB!
  23. GREAT stuff!!! Gotta be fun hunting them down in the canoe! BTW....how's the stability with the seat high up? Just curious...I have a canoe that has those "foam" tubes along the gunwhale of my canoe...never really tested them though.
  24. You've seen the pics...LOL. I tell them that I'm going to release them and that I'll do what I can to make it painless for them....no tin can....just hold the line and the vibrations from your voice are carried to the water. They usually respond...and I give them a little extra worm just before the release. It's a win-win situation really.
  25. Fantastic report UF! That net seems a bit suspicious to me, but then again, what do I know? LOL. Great assortment of panfish there...hope they made a nice snack for you! Love that last shot of the family down at the "dock".....you going to stock that pond?? hehe.
