  1. I better be or the resident mistress may freeze my bank account....
  2. Glad I could help. I'm not gonna lose any opportunities due to insufficient gear this season!
  3. Great fast service from Pursuit / Traxstech. They even gave me 10% off for tolerating their 10 minute shopping cart auto wipe program... that kept emptying my cart before I could check out.......mind you maybe I should have let it.......I think I may have gone a tad overboard. Watch the classifieds once I finally get my boat on site, so I can do the track mounting. I already know I'll have two tracks for sale as I ordered pairs of 2, 3 and 4 foots as unsure whether I'll be using the 2 and 3' or 3 and 4' s on each side. Also have the inserts for them to make them into smooth steps when the accessories are out. Adjustable rod holders...I may swap out for Bert's ratcheting ones before these even come out of the packages. I bought 4 rigger pedestals - swiveling - but now doubting I'll ever have 4 riggers on the boat so 2 of those may be available as well. We'll see once I get her all set up.
  4. I know you're kidding Alex....but the location, JOHN, would be wisely kept to youself. Nice fish porn John !
  5. I'll file this one right up there with the boat operators card. Have had my own boat since I was 6 years old and suddenly needed to pass a test on... not how to drive a boat...but minor rules of the water. How about I give you a written test and then the keys to an airplane and say have fun....didn't think so. As many have already posted... a test isn't going to change the rule breakers/poachers/etc. They all know exactly what they are after. I've also been fishing since I was about 6 years old. Going from a free system to having to buy a fishing licence was enough in my life time, I won't be writting a test to get an outdoors card. I'm quite capable of reading the regulations and species seasons.
  6. Always something Cliff and many here have livewells and the thru fittings that go with them....so your post will have guys taking a better look at their rigs before launching I bet.
  7. Thanks for sharin Darren !
  8. Thanks for the post Paul....great seeing open water reports again..no matter how small the fish!
  9. The only source I have for etch and alodine is Leavens Aviation on Derry Rd....2555 East....Just West of Airport Road on the North side. Stuff isn't real cheap though and you wouldn't need much at all and end up with a jug of each sitting around the house. I can check pricing, order it o my account and have it left for pick up and square up with you later........ Better yet, let me look tomorrow and see what I have left kicking around (I have both somewhere) and what I can pack it up into and I'll xpress post it to you.
  10. Beauty report and if I was still on dial up would have appreciated extremely how it was laid out. Your father hauling his own pack, etc at 80+....I applaude him immensely for that and great to see you sharing trips like these together still.
  11. Paul...corrosion! Most likely caused from the wet carpet wicking into the alum base and the stainless screws holding it down cause dissimilar metal corrosion...basically forming a battery and eating your pedestals. Take them off and take the scotchbrite pads to them, or aluminum oxide sandpaper. Do not use a wire brush or wheel as it will imbed metal particles in the alum and they will rust. Clean it up the best you can and then etch it with a good alkaline cleaner or phosphoric acid. I'd then alodine it, and if you were close I'd lend you a bottle, but you can probably skip the alodine. Now as soon as they are dry from the rinsing off of the etch/acid get a coat of epoxy primer and then a coat of paint on them. Pick a colour that matches your carpet/side panels or something so it looks factory install.
  12. I hope not..one bigot around here is tooooo many, we don't need two more.
  13. I'm still trying to figure out what the slur "mainlander" refers to....
  14. Good to see 2 brothers out havin FUN. Good on yah's and some fish to boot.
  15. The price of being way over weight is your life. If you want a mess of beer and other supplies...take lots to make it worth while to pay for the extra shuttle flight just for it.
  16. Our resident Prop expert is still in the hospital.. I believe ! GaryV
  17. GREAT stuff Don! And don't worry about the hold...you can't do worse than the charter boat and TV pro's I saw today...throwing them on the floor and torpedoing them back to nature.
