  2. E-D... You should go back to posting as Specktacklure... you had more PASSION with that alter ego! LOL Ford/Chevy/Dodge the debate will never be solved... Remember we had the China debate already here.. and remember Evinrude went there 3 years or more before Mercury ! ..and I didn't buy my Verado for the quietness.. never heard one run until I put mine in the water. Quiet was a bonus ! Fuel pig... I don't think so and have the lower fuel bills from last season to prove it.. over a 115 Johnson! Carry on....
  3. Bucket's easier to throw and retrieve as well Dave.. and has other uses once on board.. like bailing !
  4. Where the coffee shop it at the lights... or kitty corner to it?
  5. Can't believe I'm gonna say it... but I think I'm good for the season.. other than a bit of terminal tackle.. high quality snaps and swivels basically. Got everything else covered. Rods/reels/line/spoons/cranks... all covered thanks to Ebay thru the winter.

  9. Know your pricing before going to Trombly's ! I've won some and lost some there...
  10. Congrats !!! Amazing how fast that year will fly by.. just got my renewal notice in the mail today !
  11. Interesting place. Wild to see they sell the Bass Pro Pete Maina Musky reels for $85 ! $14.99 less than BPS usa themselves and also have the rest of the BPS line up in baitcasters ! Don't buy your Cannon downriggers there though...
  12. Trombly's 20th Anniversary sale is on this weekend in Orillia. 11/12/13th... but a bit far to drive for you I'd bet! Humminbird 535 portable in the plastic carrying/battery case $179.99 ($100 off) Cuda 168 $79.99 and the Portable Cuda 168 $119.99 Cuda 242 $139.99
  13. Still time to rush to CTC.. get a submersable and throw it in the sump hole to keep up. Hopefully it doesn't rise much further... but I wouldn't be depending on one sump pump. Good sense of humour thru it all though.. movin all that stuff to the basement. You do have flood coverage on your insurance.. correct. Been an option for some time...
  14. Just watch the part about he can't access the leakers because they are under a rib/plate. Maybe take a picture to see if you can get a bucking bar in there... may need to go with "tank" style blind rivets in those spots.
  15. Emil.. if you didn't find it yet and want to call stores.. CTC stocks White. The 4200 fast cure product number is 79-0215-4 and the 5200 is 79-0216-2. Neither come up on the website.. but them's the numbers off the packages in the Midland Store.
  16. One thing worth reading before deciding on HP would be your home insurance policy.. some have an 18HP limit.. some 28.. some others. to cover you for liability at no extra cost under your house policy. Our 25 was originally covered, for liability, under our cottage policy at N/C (where a 30 wouldn't have been), but then a couple years later they changed their fine print to 18HP. I now pay $162/yr for theft coverage of $5800 replacement and 2 million liability for it's useage (which is criminal considering I only pay $900 for my 2150 Lund Baron and toys)
  17. HAHAHA... guess you haven't read the others for some reason! I'd go Honda in that HP range myself ! Our 25 Honda has been top notch....pushing a heavy steel 16' work boat.
  18. I think I have 20 bottles of Coors in the cold cellar G. if you get desperate. It's been there for about 8 years.. but that shouldn't matter if you're out!
  19. I can't hear my 275 Verado running if the 25 HP Honda is idling at the dock beside it..or Mike the Pike's for that matter !
  20. The above said... I also have a 5HP and a 25 HP Honda. Absolutely no issues. Had a 115 Johnson 2 stroke on the last "fishing" boat... motor was good (a tad noisy in comparison to what I have now and or a Honda) but no issues with it other than hard cold starting. I'm pulling it with a Ford.. so you may as well add that debate to this while you're at it! LOL
  21. Hey... what ya singlin me out fur ? Did yah need something to hug Joe or what's the problem bud?
  22. What Terry said.. no matter how big you don't have to use it all unless you really want to !
  23. Here's my two cents..
