  8. Thanks for the Raf !! Some nice tanks there for sure...
  9. Do it right.. and do it ONCE Mark ! Plan for three times as long as you think it will take.. and twice the money. Is it financially viable or are you putting money into a dark hole? All things I'm sure you have considered, but if you want a project in the garage and have another boat to fish from... why not! Two options on the exterior... TAL STRIP II for aluminum and it's gonna take a few gallons ($45 per) or have it SODA blasted clean. You have to do the stripping inside.. no wind/etc or it won't work properly. Once bare...You can scrub it down with Alum Prep to etch/clean it, but not extremely necessary with today's paint and self etching primers. But for what it costs for a jug I'd wash it down with it...while scrubbing with a white scotchbrite pad (and rubber gloves!). Lunds are painted with PPG Concept or what ever the latest version of that is. Many paint shops run a PPG paint rail and can help you out. Use PPG's self etching epoxy primer for aluminum.. spray on a coat and then top coat within 24 hours, I believe it is, (or you'll have to sand before top coating!) Same deal between colours if you are adding accent colours.
  10. Yep.. I believe I read either 68 or 72 kg in the manual (it's at the lake) for mine fisherman... enough that I don't lift it off! lol 25 HP Electric start Honda.
  11. A man gets captured by cannibals and every day they poke him with spears and use his blood to wash down their food. Finally the guy calls the chief over and says, "You can kill me or you can eat me, but I'm tired of getting stuck for drinks."
  12. I always back up the good stuff Art !!
  13. The post office DOES charge a Brokerage (Handling) fee. $5 is added to the GST and PST you have to pay on the value. Fedex charges $7... UPS = crown and anchor wheel, generally between $25 and $70. If it isn't made in the USA/Canada or Mexico.. and if Customs feels like it they'll get you for duty.
  14. Best I found so far is in California.. on 5 bolt rims they are $70 each.. down to 60 or so with volume. $100 looks like a common price everywhere else..
  15. Found some in Rhode Island for $30 !!
  16. Lloyd stands in the front and paddles.. That said.. when solo, they paddle like a brick! I have to row it. With two guys it's not so bad to paddle.. but definitely not like my wife's Scott.

  22. And depending where this is going price wise.. and whom wants it.. put me in the buying line as well. I can wack 2 feet off it..put a new back in it and use it for the next customer that wants a canoe loader on their float plane.... or I may even use it myself, so I can fly one canoe in to a back lake and drop it and the passenger off... and then come home and get the other canoe and guest.
  23. My "loader" is built specific to it... don't see me parting with it while it's still in one piece!!
  24. Got it from an old friend.. it's probably 20 years old and never seen the water before I launched it!
