  1. I think I still have my flanel lined jeans... ala Bay City Rollers... Phil! You want'm....
  2. Supposably a trigger lock Bob... or just keep the friggin thing in your hand locked and loaded like Terry! I mean the gun..
  3. NO Bernie.. he got screwed and demoralized for almost 2 years. We lost countless contracts as well, thanks to the OPP smearing his name and pictures of the guns all over the papers and TV. They kept saying they couldn't find ammo for the AK to see if it had been modified to automatic (check with your swat team for.... sakes ). He'd still be in jail to this day, if he hadn't used Bernie Cogulman(sp) as a lawyer whom is now a supreme court judge. He should have been awarded court costs and he didnt' even get that. Even with all charges dropped (he can cross the border every day if he wants to, so I know it's true.. he winters in Florida) he was told he wasn't allowed to possess a firearm for 5 years, so had to find someone with an FAC to take possession of them. One of Leah's sisters went and took the course and locked all the guns in a metal trunk.
  4. NO need for anyone to beat on Dave! He was only trying to open our eyes to what his instructor was jamming down his throat!! I know the act all to well and I'll share, what I shared with Dave by PM, right here. My father in law was one of the first they tried to make an example of....... My f-in-law was one of the very first that was arrested under the new laws... handcuffed in front of our 125 employees at the plastic plant.. thrown in a police car. I then sat and watched the OPP, with search warrant, drag his 50+ rifles by the straps across his laneway pavement and bang them off the LTD bumper as they tossed them in the trunk. Mother-in-law..... during their divorce... called "fearing for her life", didn't even live in the same damn house. The police had to go thru a rot iron fence gate.. past 2 trained attack King Sheppard dogs.. locked front door.. alarm system.. locked door to the basement.. locked door to the furnace room where the guns were all wrapped in blankets and taped together with reinforced tape after he moved out of the matramonial house into the one they grabbed the guns from. M-in-law had bought everyone one of these guns for him. One for his birthday.. one for Christmas every year that they'd been married.. 26 years = 52 guns. Charged with improper storage of firearms and possession of a restricted weapon. The 53rd gun, an AK47, I signed for off the purolator truck one day at the plant, that he ordered out of Montreal just for s hi ts and giggles. Not a single bullet anywhere in the same storage room and as matter fact they never found a single bullet doing their search. I had to post 2 million dollars in securities to bail him out of jail and it cost him $75,000 in legal fees to get cleared of all charges. He got all his guns back except they somehow lost his AK.... two constables got demoted to desk jobs (but I now know one is the commander in Parry Sound a decade+ later). They should have been tossed right off the force trying to make a name for themselves, Medved and Edwards... they only served and protected themselves!
  5. Yah they can all read the reg book better than people Brian. Had two full grown deers trying to coral a run away fawn (about 18" high) and it's two older siblings yesterday when I was cutting the runway. I thought it was a little dog chasing a doe from 1000 feet away to find it was a new born fawn doing laps and mom trying to nose her in the right direction from the big scary tractor. I could have shifted gears and had veal....
  6. "Firearm".. .again any pellet/bbgun less than 500 fps is NOT a firearm! Tell your instructor to go back to school himself..
  7. Come up here and do laps around the runway and laneway Bill... I could use at least 50 less in the yard!
  8. I was thinking 4... it's a 3 I have, now where did I put that green gem...
  9. My local lad at Backwater has nadda in stock, but Trombly's Tackle in Orillia has a pair of STCI42500f's in stock so I'm hitting there on the way North in the am. If Jen can have a shinny new rod and reel I'm gonna toast that $39 cardinal I'm using on my (1982 Berkley Lightning) Pikeral rod. That'll be the first $500 gone this trip!
  10. Was always my favourite.... it's hanging up around here somewhere and Spiel told me parts were cheap...think I'll find it while Leah gets our clothes washed for the trip North.
  11. If you can't find any new laws they don't exist. Maybe proposals.. but they aren't law. They are only law if they've made it thru the Gazette twice and if you can't find anything doing an internet search they haven't made it thru it once...
  12. Thanks for that Jason... you could sure give Les Stroud a run for his money on the camera work!
  13. I thought it was something your screamed while turning final for the old runway in China...
  14. Was thinking North Bay for some reason Nick... so ya plug Barrie into the dealer locate window... or go with what you've found. As Fisherman points out there aren't many mfg's left, but I've never been let down by an interstate.
  15. Go to your local jobber and buy an Interstate Deep Cycle. http://www.interstatebatteries.com/cs_estore/DealerLocator/Default.aspx Looks like "Battery Battery" is the only dealer in North Bay! 245 Mattawa Street
  16. Dang... looks like I'll be in Temagami, but I sure won't be fishing for bass!
  17. Too many variables Nick... boat pounding puts plates together... storage uncharged sulphates them and shorts the lower edge of the plates together. Whip the thing out of there and take it over to a local garage (or pull the boat there to do so)... they'll load test if for you. Offer them $5 or $10 up front to do so and you won't feel guilty when you find you have a bad battery and source it elsewhere (if the garage doesn't have what you need). My trolling motor batteries are on their 5th season now. I used them on full speed on the weekend to troll for Muskie silently at 4.2mph for at least 3hours. Lower speeds for about 9 hours I guess! They still show "Good" when I push the test button on my Motorguide.
  18. I can fly you onto Bay of Quinte! Welcome aboard....
  19. In a rural setting I can leave my gun leaning against the back door frame.... don't lose sight of your rights!
  20. If your land is registed as a farm you can...
  21. This is a new thing.?.. they've held the kids school bus up for years! (and they haven't been in highschool for a minimum 6 years!)
  22. I was gonna stay quiet, but can't much longer with so many that I thought were friends trying to make an ass out of me. Man you're a great bunch... I hope I never pull any of you for Jury Duty if i'm ever before the courts! I sat beside someone for almost 2 hours, that kept insisting that I "fed Spiel's dog as we didn't have to sleep with her". For those that don't know, this was done last year and Brooke crapped all over the bed in Chris's van. Leah was also told by the same person that the snacks cause stool softening. Seeing Marvin looking near death on Sunday, Jer's dog puking and crapping in her cage and a few other things that were off kilter had me putting two and two together. Sorry if anyone is offended by this, but that was the way I saw it and at this point still do. I've had PM's back and forth with those involved and it doesn't seem to be an issue between us and I'd hope that those that weren't there or don't own any of the dogs involved mind their own p's and q's as I will be from here on out. They are your dogs, you worry about them and I'll see if next time I can turn the other way and not worry about your pets well being!
  23. I was under the impression, back in 2007 when trying to get network parts for my new units, that Lowrance Canada was totally shut down and there was nothing other than the repair facility left. Terry has been there.... do you have contact info Terry??
