If there is anything I can do, let me know. I'm very tight on time (haven't enough to meet my professional and family obligations), but hey the timing might just be right. We all have crappy times, helps us know and remember the good ones. Sorry for your family, hope things get better. I strive to do the right thing most of the time, and give myself the freedom to fail. Without that small freedom I/we can find ourselves paralyzed with fear. Entropy

yep, It is too much of a pain, thus no pics from me. Got 100 to share after moose hunt, but don't have time to resize even one. no loss I suppose.

If money matters you might check out Walmart's, Rovelo's. Yep, they are cheap to buy, like most Walmart brands. But I have no complaints.

I have a princess auto electric bench top sharpener and love it. I keep 5 chains ready to go for my saw. Best $40 spent, now no more dropping off and paying for someone else to do it. I also never felt like I was doing it right by hand, and quickly gave up trying. Entropy

Sail in Oshawa is great, although I did have a problem with one Hunting staff, other than that, I'd recommend them too.

Where do you live mike?, with all this stuff being stolen and all. Was it dark out or day?

I never used to, back when I had a big boat with windshield and no kids. BUT, now with 2 kids in a smaller boat, and doing a lot of canoeing, I wear a camo inflatable. One of the biggest realizations was when I had a structural malfunction of a canoe on a back lake in the spring. I learned that it is impossible to foresee all of the possible or impossible or freak accidents/things that can happen on the water. I need to live for a while longer to see my kids off. Don't want to cut it short. Entropy

Take the signs down ESSA TWNSP. Enough already.
Entropy replied to misfish's topic in General Discussion
It does not say that you can't remove the sign. Take it down. If someone bothers you about that, tell them you didn't know it wasn't ok, and that perhaps there should be a sign for that too. Then say sorry 5 times and walk away. -
I got out this evening and tried out my new Mossberg. Seemed to work very well. Was my first time getting 4 Geese with 3 shots. Entropy Hmmm, I attached a photo but I guess it did not work. It is 2.38 MB. ???

went salmon fishing tonight 7 for 11 in two hours!
Entropy replied to Big Cliff's topic in General Discussion
sounds like a real fisherman! I ripped my thumb while 'ski fishing once. Went back to my truck, put some paper towel on the wound, and wrapped some electrical tape around it. Ended up picking up two smaller 'ski that evening. All makes for memorable outing, eh. Entropy -
2 Questions - Need a new cell phone and GPS

Cliff, I just might take you up on that offer. Give me a few days to check on a couple of other options. Very generous of you. Entropy -
2 Questions - Need a new cell phone and GPS

Bell -
My current GPS is a Garmin E-Trex Legend. It is black and white, and easy to use, and I have the Topo Canada Maps for it somewhere. But, it no longer works. At this point all I really need a GPS to do for me is to be able to mark a few points, and be able to get back to them after haphazardly chasing game after a shot is made, marking a few shoals on a lake, or to get unlost. My current cell phone is an old 'colour' flip phone. It needs a new battery, but still works. I'd like one that I can use on my Bell pre-paid account, and that has a camera with some storage for photos and music and video, and does the wifi thing so I can read stuff like this site while laying on the couch, I don't plan on using it much for data, only in an emergency when I need to look up a phone number or such. #1 If I was to buy a new Cell and a GPS, what would you recommend.? #2 Could I get away with a new cell phone that has GPS built into it. Does this exist? Will it work even as a true GPS when out of cell tower range? Thanks, Entropy

Have been cutting firewood for the last 2 days, and fired up the snow thrower for its summer 'start-up' yesterday. Getting another trailer load of firewood tomorrow. Time to put the heating cables on the roof, eh. Entropy

Same sort of deal with homemade boats too. I think.

We just got back from a week on the Pickerel River (family trip). It started out good, then took a dump. Cold and wet. Felt like the water temp droped 10 deg F.

Thanks, I wiggled some wires, and have not got a shock since, but will do some wiggling tomorrow eve, in the dark. Thanks. Entropy

That lake brings back some good memories. Glad you enjoyed.

I am getting a shock off my outboard. 15 hp tiller, Evinrude 1980'ish, pull start. The shock is only while it is running (obviously), off of the metal below where the cowl seals on both sides and the front. The faster the RPM the more of a shock. I have checked all wires and only one is slightly worn, but no wires are showing through. Could it be a problem with the 'push' style of kill button, or a coil? Or what? Thanks for any help. Entropy

Bingo! Thanks, that will do it. Now to find the time to look at the page and get my but in gear before we get checked.

and that one was nfg. looking for the right answer.

Scugog, off the dock, and might try a popper in the pads for large mouth bass.

I have an old boat with a 'plate' on the stern that has a number and max hp rating on it. It is very old, was given to me from a friend years ago, but I now have a 15 hp motor on it. How do I register it? I couldn't 'google' up a quick page for it. Any Help? Entropy
