40x44 is the hoop size not the net depth. I have the power stow one size smaller than this and if I can remember right the bag depth was 50 odd inches. Bang for your buck you cant go wrong but as others have mentioned multiple trebles and some thrashing you will get some tangles.

Anyone ever take part in the rod/reel trade in? Seems like a good cause with the trade ins being donated to kids. How exactly does it work?

Having had a truck stolen before I have zero sympathy for the deceased. The way I see it is if he wasn't out there trying to steal somebody elses vehicle the whole situation never would have happened. Back when I had to report my truck stolen I was told that even if the police were to catch this certain group of auto thieves in the act upon fleeing they will not be persued because they are known to carry weapons and wont hesitate to endanger innocent lives in a high speed chase.

Thanks for the info on a fair asking price. GBW I think its a 48" shaft. Like others have commented I dont see it working for your rig. On my 16 ft aluminum in waves it would come out of the water and in wind the boat was a kite the 46 lb thrust just isn't enough.

Upgrading my bowmount for next season so I no longer need my original one. I have a motorguide fw-fb 46 lb thrust 12 volt used for 4 seasons. Has some normal wear and tear for 4 seasons of use. From what I have seen from looking online they are $400-500 new I think. No idea what it is worth now... not looking to give it away and not looking to rip anyone off just wondering what I could ask for the motor?

I have 3 seasons on my brackets with no problems. 2 of them paired with scotty powerlocks and the other two flipped with through bolts to a trolling board with my downrigger on it.

Looking to upgrade my bow mount for next year. Just wondering what the best time is to buy. Do they go on sale in the winter/spring? Any where I should keep an eye on?

I fished crystal beach on Monday. Was a light west wind and after the mess of a weekend the water was still clear. Could see bottom in 10-15 ft of water. I don't fish erie enough to make a prediction but Monday was all good.

I agree old ironmaker but im sure there will still be nutters out there. I wonder how many people are going to show up for the derby to find its been cancelled.

I usually fish the long point bay derby every opener but this strong east wind forecast there is no way. The boat traffic is bad enough on a good day never mind high winds, waves and possibly rain. No bumper boats for me. Im wondering if the crystal beach/ fort erie area will be fishable or should I write off erie all together?

Hey Raycaster. While you're at princess auto grab a 200 lb power retrieving magnet and some rope. Might luck out if that reel you're looking for has some metal on it;) As for editing software what do you guys use? I have a bunch of raw footage from the past couple seasons but have never really tried to put an edited video together.

The authorities response regarding Six Nations will be the same one I got when my truck was stolen. "Just wait for it to turn up on the reserve" that phone conversation opened my eyes. Especially when they said even if they saw the theft in progress officers would not pursue the thieves. They're worried about armed suspects and high speed chases... quite the reputation. Truck was never found.

Caught this fish trolling the Thames river Saturday. All the time I've put in chasing these fish finally paid off. Fish measured 48 inches personal best for me by far. I wish now I had taken a girth measurement to get a rough estimate of weight but releasing the fish was the only thing on my mind after a quick picture.

Sorry for the late reply but thank you for the responses. We will be fishing for muskies at the mouth of the Thames Saturday. Depending how that goes we will see which part of the lake we fish sunday. Ill be in a red lund rebel if anyones out there feel free to say hi. -Mike
