  1. That's hilarious. Gotta love beer goggles.
  2. I can recommend a bunch that I've been to personally. Shoot me a pm if you're interested.
  3. If Jay filmed the video maybe he should have posted it. Otherwise it's a little spammy.
  4. These guys have some pretty unreal prices as well: http://www.overstockbait.com/ Recently bought a whackload of Hotshots for $1.99
  5. Well done lad, looking forward to seeing how your next trip goes.
  6. Nice to see the reports Simon, thanks for taking the time.
  7. I still have a 308 UL in mint shape if someone wants to make me an offer.
  8. Hey if you can't poke fun at your friends then who? Zoey's doing great! She was 8lb's when we got her at new years and last week at the vet she was up to 121/2. She's a smart dog, she's learning fairly quick.
  9. Don't mean to be overly critical, but the hooks aren't big enough either.
  10. Forgot to mention the ones you tied with the different coloured heads...that's pretty important. If they're all one colour you'll miss a lot of fish. It seems they key in on the head when it's a different colour. If you tie some larger black ones up give them an orange head.
  11. That's what I thought. Not big enough! At least 8", and mostly black with a bit of red mixed in would be good.
  12. Pretty much the truth. If more viewers actually wanted to see the Habs then they'd show it in HD.
  13. Nice laker, thanks for posting the vid. As far as eating it goes, why not if you want to. I lived in the area for a few years and would never eat lakers caught from lake Muskoka. They're loaded with mercury.
  14. No, actually they don't all break.
  15. I've dealt with Raven before too with broken rods. As have several of my friends. Never a problem. Raven has a LOT of experience dealing with this issue. Nice rods but they break.
  16. Albert (HTHM) can pick the motor up next Thursday from Whitby and deliver it to me. Dave have you bought the thing yet?
  17. Most of the lakes are just as secluded, some aren't because of private cabins and atv access. The two lakes you mentioned are both good, can't really go wrong. If I fish with these guys again it'll likely be Rice though. I've heard from others the walleye fishing is amazing and it's a huge lake which I like. Is this a family trip with your son? Reason I ask I'm in the process of getting something booked for my family in July. My two kids are young, aged 4 and 7. Normally I would fly with my friend Eddie to the Attawapiskat but he's booked solid. I've searched high and low trying to find a good and cheap alternative. Most outfitters offer 50% off for young kids, not bad, but when you have two it's still expensive. Long story short I found a great outfitter (one I've flown with several timres), and after July 1st kids 12 and under are totally free with two paying adults. Adult rate is $875 Canadian tax in for a week, $750 for 4 nights. Really really good deal imo. If you're interested in which outfitter pm me.
  18. No shortage of walleyes on either lake, although smaller in size on average. Both camps and lakes are very nice, way better than anything north of Cochrane.
  19. Lots of info here although a little dated. http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=73200&highlight=wawa http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72787&highlight=wawa http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72113&highlight=wawa http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71082&highlight=wawa http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=70528&highlight=wawa http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69628&highlight=wawa http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68541&highlight=wawa http://www.walleyecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=68295&highlight=wawa
