Not sure how you feel about night fishing but there is a full moon cycle coming on and if it’s a clear night nothing beats a full moon in the wee hours of the morning definately chubby inducing!!!!!!! Like a hydroplane coming through the water just saying
-
I like fishing them as a lightning storm is coming

Buck tails can get a lot of lift at speed to be honest I’ve trolled it slow and got lots of fish but I prefer it more for covering water up to 10 feet fan casting i have a very difficult time trolling for extended periods for to squirrelly for that I’m a caster that likes to move around
-
I’m not a musky guy I will specifically go out and fish them Im definately not in the Lew class you don’t need to break the bank on the terminal stuff or gear good wire leaders 1 to 2 feet 50lb ers are fine Berkeley cross locks are great 50lb power pro works great medium heavy rod make it dual use trolling and casting and some kind of casting winch a buddy of mine will only use a spin caster so you can take it from there. Keep it simple for now and if your really into it spend the money just get out and do it best advice I can give after a few hundred casts strip a rod length of line and re-tie it’s not bad when the floaters break free you can pick them up but you’ll be screaming when the sinkers disappear And for a lure I always had good luck with a big buck tail size with gold blades and brown fur your not fishing for sharks they are not as powerful as chinooks you just need to make sure you have enough leader to deal with the teeth thats my thoughts on it remember K.I.S.S. cheers BITEME

Have you tried running it both ways external and internal with the same result are those line teed internally some where potential leak did you check for a fuel filter could be dirty and restricted external tank check the o ring air leak is the ball the right way on your external tank just asking all linkages intact choke and throttle if loose or stripped just asking have you played with any set screws. Your a guy cheers peter

bah! what could go wrong -
Is it carbed or injected how old is the gas was it sitting for long have you tried SEAFOAM in the fuel spray it in the intake try to run it the best you can with the additive and bunny ears or in the water let the seafoam get right in it I would say 1/2 an hour or so running then let it sit for a day check for any cracked suction lines the SEAFOAM should sort out and sticking issues don’t dismantle anything until you try this Just my 2 cents cheers peter

Hockey sticks, plywood, pulleys and clothes line cable mostly tiller control though a steering wheel and throttle control was a luxury that just wasn't always available.

Anybody remember the gold cup races at Bronte Beach it was a good day for a picnic always I spent many years terrorizing Bronte Creek and Harbour as a kid with a sea flea and a 15hp jonson http://images.halinet.on.ca/OakvilleImages/Images/BHS/002656626.jpg

Do all the stuff mentioned. I don’t think you have a pooched motor get it back in the water couple hours running or what ever bring it in. Loosen the bottom plug let some fluid out honey is good creamed honey is bad while your at it change the plug(s) I think you'll be fine peter
-
Have you ever had this motor running??

Do beat yourself up poop happens and this didn’t happen this winter this is a previous owner thing not your fault at all live and learn if you go the jb route after doing seals scarf up the area good where you are laying it down wipe it with acetone let it dry and go to it you’ll be fine!! peter
