Happened to my friend, he forgot his passport when he was in NYC. Canada obviously let him in without looking at his ID or anything...I mean its the Canadian border. He had a little hassle getting back to the US but he did have his military ID and birth certificate! I think the rule only applies if your not American hahaha.

Going to Windmill Point in Fort Erie on Saturday, then heading somewhere with a fellow OFC'er on Sunday! Hopefully I'll catch something and make another report! lol

http://www.tc.gc.ca/marinesafety/debs/obs/...s/pcoc/menu.htm That link tells you who offers the courses & card. - No one offers just the card because you are supposed to pass a test, and how are you supposed to pass a "test" if there was no course/training. - Companies that offer online tests at hire price give you the ability to print the card out and get it immediately. - While the ones that are cost effective chances are you'll be waiting for the card from the ministry. My in-law's paid $50 dollars each at the boat show, but the testing process was...give me 50 bucks, heres the test & a study guide! Please don't cheat ;)

Kijiji you aren't supposed to be exchanging anything via mail or the internet. Ebay there is the risk because the premise of the site is to make these transactions online, but if you follow the Ebay RULES you will not get scammed as there is insurance/protection for the Ebay client. Its when people ignore the rules of Ebay (or aren't aware of them) and use a money order or some other type of transfer thats not part of ebay to complete the sale...There is then NO recourse for the person who got scammed because they didn't get scammed on ebay....they got scammed sending a random stranger money who they MET on ebay but did not actually do a transaction via ebay!

The whole point of Kijiji is to avoid the scams of online purchases by buying locally and meeting up with the person to exchange products/payments. Off the Kijiji rules : "When buying or selling, you should meet in-person to see the product and exchange funds. Kijiji is all about local transactions." This goes back to the facebook thread, people just use things/assume things are a certain way without reading the rules. If you knew what Kijiji was really about before using it, you would know 100% that anything that involves an online payment is a scam!!

At work I use Chrome and at home I use Firefox. No real reason, sadly this is how I spice it up a bit . Boy is it exciting being a computer technician! When it comes down to it I'd say its all preference, and if this were a computer forum I'm sure we could get some heated debates if someone suggests one browser is superior to another! lol.

Select PRIVACY. Then select NEWSFEEDS and WALL. Select the tab that reads FACEBOOK ADS. There is a drop down box, select NO ONE. Then SAVE your changes
