  1. I think my name is L Sears, at least that's what it says on my T shirt tag.
  2. English, I know the Webber piece well, and I knew that octave jump was coming up towards the middle of the selection, and was thinking that he'd never make it. He nailed it, pure and true. Our Charlotte did a similar thing a few years ago, I think. Thanks for sharing that. I loved the Paul Potts story too.
  3. "I've lost sight in one eye, and the world sounds like it is made of rushing water. " That is funny.
  4. Brian, your first clip was very nice. A good player.
  5. I try to agree on a Statement of Work with my customers, just so we all agree on what is going to happen, and who is going to pay for it. Design and Build is a tough business for sure. If things are going south from the original idea, I try to get a plan IN ADVANCE that we figger out how we are going to proceed after that. I find that this stuff makes my business more succesful at the same time.
  6. I don't understand where Glen comes from, but I know exactly where he is welcome. My company, anytime. He is still a little bit funny, if you know what I mean. I happen to like that in a Bubba.
  7. A sure sign of spring is 2Rs homecoming. I'm looking forward to some of your great reports and photos <grin>.
  8. Tremendous! Going to be Just Swell!! and ! Shark hooks would be handy as well.
  9. Wow. Youse guys are amazing, encyclopedic knowledge of glue, and everything!
  10. To expand on Cliff's explanation, pass the line through the two or three lengths of tubing, then tie on a small ant swivel, then your fluoro leader and hook. The float you select is then attached to your line by putting the tip and foot of the float into the tubing pieces, this way you can slide your float up and down the line easily.
  11. Hadn't heard that one before, Bruce. Sorta like the one about the identical twins Juan and Amahl - if you've seen Juan, ...
  12. From the three of us, I had the only steelhead on the shore, mainly due to the superior shotting patterns I invented on the spot, and madd skilz with the float gear. Does anyone still remember Percy? This indeed was my first steelhead (a smolt or yearling?) and qualifies as my pb. Lower case. Someone also tagged a beauty whistle trout. Those suckers always surprise me. Thanks again to Cliff and Carole, always the best hosts, most generous and kind people.
  13. It could be powdery mildew, Erysiphales as it is commonly known. Maybe the other way around,
  14. Way cool video, love the spring peepers.
  15. The Number of the Beast, sucha deal, from your own mother you couldn't do better.
  16. Gerritt, that might not be true. No malice is no proof of no harm. Does that make any sense? Carp still happens, and then we make it right. Remember, friends don't let friends fish for Cyprinidae.
  17. I may have done a bad thing. I have done bad things in the past too. If someone claims that link hosted a trojan, then I will defer because I have no idea if that is true or even possible. If you have a trojan on your puter, try Adaware - I just did a scan, found some tracking cookies and deleted them. The next scan was clean. Thanks to the Moderator that deleted that website on that phony link.
  18. Gweetches. Not as good as Meely's but damn fine nonetheless. Pannini, porchetta, provolone, and some of that garlicky mustard from Kozlick's.
  19. When I posted that link, I just made it up, expecting that it would return a '404 - Page not Found' message. I checked the link, and found that it actually led to a real website that seemed to be a 'parked domain' with a placeholder link page. I didn't and still don't see a risk to other board members by doing that. Old Boys' Club? Turdburger? Who knew?

    New Toys!!

Very nice, Carole. No jewellery or lingerie tho?
  21. Best to Ryan, known to a select few as TheUrbanFisherman, also celebratory in his partying fine slef, on his birthday.
