  1. Nice work, I canned my first fish this year (Whitefish) its amazing, so good!
  2. Thats a great buck, the tine length is incredible
  3. Great job Jon, you are really putting your cients on some giants this fall WTG!!
  4. Went out Tuesday with the great weather to fish LSC's overlooked LMB fishing and get some website promo pics. Weather was great and the fish were biting including my new PB 6.3 Lb Largemouth and several 4-5lb class fish. Gotta love fall fishing!!
  5. Nice fish, great to end the season with some fish
  6. Great footage, does seem to happen frequently on St Clair
  7. Great baits and great fishing Jon, WTG!!
  8. This was my second time fishing this event and once again this was an awesome tourney, very well run, with great sponsors.Although no records were broken 28+ pounds is still a great sack of Smallies, Congrats to Wayne and Gail. I also know two fellow competitors that both caught bass over 8lbs in the prefish, one was 8.1 and the other was an incredible 8.9 weighed with a Cull-M-Rite so it was very accurate. The bite was definitely off on Sat, but those big fish are still there and only getting bigger, can't wait till next year. We weighed a small limit but couldn't get a big bite, heres one I caught on the Friday pre-fish
  9. Its actually called the St Clair Shiner jig but everyone just calls it the "Fluffy jig", its a small swim jig with a pearl mylar skirt and grub tail, deadly when the Smallies are chasing bait. Its very popular on waters with schooling baitfish like the Great Lakes, St Clair, and Simcoe too.
  10. Anytime Mike be glad to help, they are stacked on all the usual fall spots
  11. The Smallies on St Clair are still shallow and aggresive, putting on the feedbag for winter. Great numbers of quality fish are roaming the shallow weedlines and the weather has been amazing. Tubes, Spinnerbaits, Senkos, "Fluffies" and Jerkbaits are all working, with this weather they will prob remain shallow for awhile still. Heres a couple from yesterday
  12. No apologies are necessary, sure the fish is cool, but Dana's pic was funny too, I never did sense any animosity, just good natured fun. I am proud/lucky to have caught that fish and hope to try again someday but I have a sense of humor as well and that pic was funny. I am thankful for all the congrats its really cool, when I posted it I didn't think that many people would care or even know about them. They are a very cool fish with a great story behind them, and I highly recommend giving them a try. Heres a few pics of the lake the next morning before we left, it was creation at its best!!
  13. Seeing another man holding my Trout, and even wearing my pants, I feel so violated
  14. T.J. - sure go ahead Dana - I got mine in the evening, but there seemed to be more activity in the morning
  15. I flogged the lake with everything that I would use for Brookies, Spinners, Spoons, small cranks, flies, and small minnowbaits, all to no avail. So, I went back to the truck grabbed my float rod/centerpin combo that I had with me and riggged it up. I used a float, a few shot, 3lb Fluorcarbon leader a small hook and a Gulp bait, threw it close to the biggest branchiest laydown tree in the lake and waited. With all the gear I had with me it came down to keep it simple, I also believe they are more accessable in the fall because the cooler temps allow them to forage in shallower water, so its easier to to target them around cover like wood etc.
  16. My friend who was with me trying as well did not catch one either, I was just the fortunate one that day
  17. An Aurora Trout lake was open this year quite close to my annual fall fishing trip area, so I decided to try for one. These fish have always interested me and it was great to finally get a crack at fishing for them and actually landing one. Very cool experience!
  18. Great fish and pics, would be cool to see the caribou! Two weeks till I head north
  19. Great pics, love the big Muskies!
