  1. We pulled at least a dozen of them out of Nipissing on a 2 night ice bungalo trip in January.There are plenty of them.Cute for kids, nuisance for fishermen.
  2. My 16' Scott Prospector is very stable. Sportspal canoes have always had the built in (and around) closed cell foam floatation.Way more stable.Nice light boat especially with a small motor. Congrats on the new boat !

[ But the best deal I got was the advise to take the subway from Yorkdale mall - only cost my wife and I $10 in total for the round trip - and saved me about 325 cuss words by not having to drive down town and try and park. Thanks for the heads up Rob.... I'll finally get that Sham Wow I've always wanted by saving the parking money..Seriously though,as a day of entertainment in anticipation of a new season it's a small price to pay.Takes me back to when I was a youngster and Dad used to take us to see many of the same things.I look forward to it every year.

  8. Ling Cod..... also known as poor mans lobster.Never had it but am looking forward to the day I do.Clean it , cube it, boil it in salted water for 5 mins then give em a bath in melted garlic butter.
  9. just got back from Simcoe.The ice about 1K off Willow Beach was at lest 2 ft. thick.Got 30 keepers in 40 fow.This doesnt help with your operators question but kind of an indicator of conditions today
  10. nice fish !! my son and I are heading up to Simcoe Tues.He wants to go perchin which I've already figured out.Dad would like to try whities.Care to share where you started out and how deep for that beauty? No secret spots ....just depth and distance from the truck.

  13. Very sorry to hear of you Dads passing.When I lost my Dad I did the same thing.Head straight outdoors to enjoy the natural world he taught me to love. Any time Im in the outdoors I think of him.Im sure you will also. Awesome photos !!
  14. was on Nipissing with Hyatt Outdoors third week on Jan.Good guy,good operator.Fishing wasn't spectacular but we managed perch,pike,walleye,cisco.He was willing to move us to day huts if we werent happy with the bungalo fishing.All in all I'd go back.
