  1. I use a photo hosting site like myfishingpictures.com and just link the photo. Others use photobucket.
  2. Thanks Ironstone74, I know the place, just didn't know they had a name for it. It was always Victoria st. bridge to us. Always had better luck closer to the rail bridge just downstream.
  3. There's a derby at Valens next weekend for adults and kids. Always a good time.
  4. You gotta take your camera along next time Gino. We love fish porn here AT OFC. You should come across some pike at Wildwood as well. I haven't made my yearly trip there yet this year, soon maybe. Always had better luck with the smallies and pike than I did with largies at Wildwood.
  5. Used to ride our bikes to Bridgeport from Victoria Hills with the poles strapped to our backs. That would have been in 74 or 75. Wasn't in full recovery mode at that time. We liked riding our bikes all the way to New Dundee and fishing Alder lake, those were the days.
  6. Hey profc, welcome to the forum. I've been fishing the Grand here in k-town since I was a little squirt and I've never heard of Kolab park. Where is it? I probably know it by another name. I can PM you a spot or two to try tomorrow.
  7. At the base of the ski hill west of Milton. You can see it from the 401.
  8. There is a derby at Valens next weekend that you and the kid may enjoy. Great draw prizes as well as prizes for biggest bass, pike and panfish in the kids division.
  9. Just got back from a visit to Bingeman's with my daughter to check out the leaderboard. As of 3:30pm Saturday the leading fish is 19" long. While we were there a couple brought in two fish to be measured. They had their bass in a cooler with a battery powered bubbler so they were in great shape. Hers was 17.5" and his was 18 5/8", good enough for 5th place. Of course the guy measuring (not Nelson) dropped the big smallie off of the table and bounced it on the ground before measuring it.
  10. If you are shore fishing at Valens, try right near the dam for pike.
  11. Sawyer's right, PATIENCE. Just keep pulling those weeds off and casting back in again.
  12. Good luck Paul. I'm sure you'll see plenty of other fishermen. I might stop by Bingeman's with my daughter just to look at the holding tanks full of big smallies. Post a report when it's over.
  13. You'll see less people at Kelso for sure. There are some nice largemouth in there that nobody targets. There are also perch and other panfish that can be caught with worm and bobber for the kiddies.
  14. The guys at Natural know what they're doing. Where do you think all those battery powered airators are going to be sold from?
  15. I hate to see a natural resource used and abused to generate income, for a charity or for a fishing store. It's my home river, so I guess I'm a little protective of it.
  16. I'm staying clear of the river this weekend because of this derby but thought some of you may be interested. http://www.grandriverbassderby.ca/rules.html
  17. I like Fireline for my spinning outfits but I use Power Pro on my baitcasters.
  18. Go to the Kawarthas and throw bucktails for musky. So far I've landed two muskies and two walleyes this way in two trips.
  19. Leafs just signed Colton Orr to a 4yr-$4million contract. Not bad for a guy who has 11 points in the NHL since 2001. Start planning the parade route.
  20. Or more of this kind of action.
  21. I would enjoy seeing this again next season, in a Leaf jersey or a Habs jersey.
  22. Nice muskies and those oos bass aren't bad either.
  23. It's a crystal clear water lake so I usually use natural looking presentations. Caught my first drop shot fish from there last year.
  24. I heard Belfour is working out and going to attempt a comeback. He'd sure look good back in a Leaf uniform .
  25. There is good old Nik Antropov, who's available, and he only wants $5 million.
