  1. well the water temps are rising and the bite is picking up... every tim i go out it seems like the fish are being more and more active... and the bigguns are starting to move around and feed a bit more the other day i managed 13 carp with only 2 or 3 under 20lbs and a 28 topping off the day no pics yet... i'll put some pics up when the 30lb fish start biting hows the bite were you are?
  2. yup... friday from midnight till two am
  3. i thought it was a belly full of gobies or perch... they were some of the smaller fish we caught too... if it was a biggun with a bloated belly i would have released it assuming it was eggs but these fish were only 2-3lbs water is only 47-50 degrees in the LARRY right now...
  4. got out for zone 20 opener friday at midnight with my brother and a friend of mine... and the fish did not dissapoint us... we managed 13 walleye between 2 and 5 pounds in 2 hours... kept 12... we did a count on the last fish and realized he would have made it 13... so back he went.. and all the fish were caught trolling cranks and they were crushing the baits and fighting like champs! however while cleaning them i was surprised to find that 2 of the fish were still full of eggs... ive never seen eggs in walleye in may before in my life... how about you guys?? anyways...heres that nights catch
  5. Same... Can't stand bass fishing... And the smallie tournament record was set a couple miles from my dock... Walleye taste great and musky are just plain mean... Geoff... You just gotta try trophy carp fishing now... Keeps you entertained in the spring...

  8. I've been up there in the winter... Is it as basic as I think it is in the open water season... Flat line... Planers... Large main structures... ??
  9. Nice jigs ... But I use 3/4 or 1 oz jigs I wish there was a company that made jigs that looked like live eye jigs but in larger sizes... All I can find in a large size is northland gumball jig head... They work but the hooks are low quality and the paint doesn't last... I can straighten the hook with 6lb fireline in 60 FOW
  10. Do yourself a favor and come to long sault in the st. Lawrence river... Loads of carp and big ones too
  11. Are there any other materials I could use other than carpet... Rhino liner or something like that... I would prefer to put down something other than carpet if possible...
  12. It's right in the middle of the boat... So it sounds like I'm gunna hafta lift the floor... Sh#*ty
  13. I somehow managed to get gas on my carpet... The glue seemed to dissolve... Now I have a 3-4 foot wrinkled patch of carpet in the center of my boat floor... I was thinkin injecting glue with a syringe or something along those lines and rolling it out smooth... What do you guys think??? Any other ideas would help... Mike
  14. St. Lawrence river is up at least a foot from normal above the Dam in Cornwall... I'm fishing carp right now and my chair in sitting in water where it should be high and dry

  20. not gunna lie to you guys... i treated em like crap! i knew i would be replacing them... they were old and were not performing very well... they worked fine in march ... then i went to go crappie fishing the other day and the charger i left on 2amp for a couple days was flashing BAD---BAT tried to charge em a couple more times at 2amp-10amp-15amp... no good so new batteries... im on lake st.francis so my boat takes a real pounding... keep the experiences coming guys... i need more opinions before i decide...
