Bow mount trolling motor: hand or foot control
Seahag replied to krawler's topic in General Discussion
My Bro and I just got a 55lb minn kota with auto pilot and the keyless steer.. i forget the proper name for it. It came with the foot pedal....but we only use the remote. It looks like your keyless entry to your car but it can clip on your clothes or on your rod. I'm also very happy with the auto pilot function. we haven't used the pedal yet. pedal is better then hand steer but the remote takes the cake. good luck with whatever you choose. ps. i think depending on your boat and if it has a flat carpet floor one may be better then the other. i can't see the foot steer being that great in a tin-ie -
Hi Everyone, It's been awhile since i've been around. Babies on the way, sick parents and work has kept me on my feet and off the computer. Just thought i would say that I am an Allstate agent in Burlington. Been so for 5 good years and right now things have never been better for our customers and my agency. If anyone has any questions about insurance or Allstate, especially in my area i'd be happy to return any messages. I'm also heading up to Port Loring fishing for a week and will have a report before next weekend. Hoping to boat some monster walleye. take care,

I just saw this movie on my dish and i was very impressed. For me to be impressed by an enviroment tree hugging film is one giant step for man kind. I'll admit i have never been that concerned. I never disrespected the enviroment but it was never on my radar. I think in the past the tree huggers have ruined it with their way of presenting facts and harassing us on small scales. It always left a bad taste in my mouth when some little squeeker came up yelling at us about recycling and other things. This movie impacted my thoughts and made me think about ways i should improve my own life and how those changes can impact the enviroment for the better. This movie just was the right type of information and a proper way to communicate that info with out attacking us as individuals. anyhow. I think anyone would benefit from watching this. It isn't geeky. it's real life. They should be showing this in highschools accross the country. maybe even middle schools. Al Gore doesn't seem like such a bad guy. Makes me think what the world might be like today if the States had him as President

St Croix Avid 6'10 one piece medium spin rod with a St croix reel. St Croix triumph bait caster 6'10 one piece with Citica reel. New to me 1996 Lund Rebel with 40 hp 4 stroke tiller 2 big john electric down riggers, new salmon equipment a rain suit from costco head lamp. minnow mate cooler minnow keeper Everything i bought has exceeded my expectations. The rods and reels have fought big fish and handled them well. The sensitivity has caught the small tricky fish so often missed. The boat has been the greatest investment ever. This thing is a power house. The rain suit is incredible i highly recommend the wet skin rain suit with the zip in fleece liner from costco. 89.99 i even wear it skiing. Everyone needs a head lamp. led head lamp has changed my attitude towards night fishing so much easier. The minnow mate i have not yet tried. A client gave that to me as a gift and i'm excited to see how it works. It keep minnows a live in a cooler using a battery operated pump to circulate the water. Keeps up to 300 minnows a live for 5 to 6 days. "so it says" can't wait to see what everyone else had luck with this year.

I have cogeco and i had it free for about a month or so. I checked in on it everyday and haven't got around to ordering it. I have pirated express view which doesn't get it and now my cogeco doesn't get it. Any idea what it costs a month. Maybe i just have to change my free lifestyle package. right now i have leafs tv and sports but i get all that for free on the dish. hmmmm i guess i'll look into it.

Rockies are killing the lake where i fish in the fall. The pickerel river system near golden vally. comanda area. We used to catch walleye in the hundreds. released most of them and only took enough for a shore lunch once a year. This area of water is not heavily fished and only one camp is on the system and it mostly goes to hunters. In recent years we catch rockies 30 or 40 to every 1 pickerel. The lodge owner says kill them all. These rockies are huge and bigger then anything i see on this board. In lakes like this where they are taking over is it ok to kill them. Will killing the ones ya catch really make a difference. I resent them becuase we catch pickerel where we catch the rock bass except i spend tons on minnows to weed out the rockies. it's getting expensive. minnows are not cheap anymore. Rock bass are great to catch for fun and guranteed action for kids. but it's killing the walleye and bass populations in this lake.

Headed down to the Lower Niagara after hearing the upper was not producing much fish. Well after the drizzle and wind at the end of last week the clarity of the water was terrible. Saturday afternoon was tough and most peeps we ran into said they weren't having luck. We drifted with roe all around queenston without a sniff. beauty afternoon, not to cool, Water was clearing. Sunday afternoon and monday should be better days for anyone going down. I think the boat is going away for the winter now so this is my last open water report. Looking forward to posting some ice fishing trips. Ciao Greg

This will definitely take some getting used to. Lots of everything everywhere. A little overwhelming with options and features. I'm sure over time (a week) we will all be back to normal. I will say it was a little annoying to have to re register and get my post count back but i guess pretty minor if this is going to make the board better.
