  1. I know the chrome looks nice, but have found them to be better table fair after they've darkened up a bit, and the flesh turns almost fluorescent red, opposite for the Coho's of course!
  2. Believe it or not, one of my steelies nailed a 3/8oz jighead tipped with a 3" power grub, which in my opinion proves that any fish can be caught on a jig!
  3. Thought I'd take a few minutes and share some fish Pics taken over the last few days... Tight Lines, Glynn. http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr145/thelaketrout/October%20Fish%20Pics/Octfishpics025.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr145/thelaketrout/October%20Fish%20Pics/Octfishpics020.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr145/thelaketrout/October%20Fish%20Pics/Octfishpics014.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/rr145/thelaketrout/October%20Fish%20Pics/Octfishpics010.jpg
  4. Thanks!....Hopefully a sign of things to come!.....Gotta love the way they slam the hardware!
  5. Actually, not much more than a 100 yards or so down river, it's pretty deep and slow, and also full of toothy critters, which love to feed on fingerlings!
  6. For sure, I was almost wondering if it was a resident?

  8. First bow of the season guys and gals!.....Hopefully a sign of things to come! This fish was taken on a #7 panther martin in a "salamander pattern', water was 12deg celcius. Tight lines! Pic in the next post.....oops, sorry!
  9. Thanks for the input! I've noticed tho that the Krocodile offers some of their spoons in different weights, but have the same physical size, eg; two spoons are 2.5", but one is 3/8oz and the other is 5/8oz, which makes them very versatile.....as well as landed me my personal best Speckie!
  10. Who was here first?.....One seems to have copied the other as the two names are almost the same? Maybe?, I dunno.
  11. You get him on the almighty X-RAP?
  12. Congrats Worm Dangler!........And hats off to you for letting it go to make more!
  13. Hey there Worm Dangler!...Long time no hear, hope everything pans out for you, nice looking little place you got yourself there! As for me, things have been pretty good, getting out on a pretty consistent basis, one of the trips being the Goulais Lake fly-in trip, all's I can say is WOW!
  14. For myself, I've found that trolling with a three-way set-up, using a 3/4oz. bell or trolling sinker, with a large WILLIAMS WABLER or WHITEFISH can't be beat.......for some reason that three-way seems to get down deep!
  15. Hey Hillbilly....What's up?

  16. Dara, Get a hold of WormDangler, I believe he may be looking for some!
  17. Dyin' to get out!

  18. I wonder if this involved a couple of Lucky Lagers?.............LOL!

  20. Yah I kinda noticed it looked like one of the vintage ones......Which are diifferently shaped if you look at them closely!
  21. Hey, in one of your pics I saw Mr. Williams on the ice.....is that your secret weapon?? LOL!
  22. Hi to all, picked up one of these today at Wal-Mart USA, never tried one before, but have seen hornets in the bellies of trout that i have caught in the past, so figured they might be worth a try when the old spinner and worm fails!
