  1. These work great for a variety of species, but I think think that nothing will stand up to toothy critters (pike) except ol' Len thompsons and Dardevles...........I like to cast with these spoons, but keep a X-rap handy to switch to if you get a follow up,which results almost in a guarantee fish!
  2. Thats what I figured, picked up the part online for $89.95(USA), and they even had a little video to show you how to do it!....If you can change a sparkplug on an outboard you can do this job!.......If thats not it, I'll be consulting a mechanic.
  3. Do the push-button 4x4's rely on vacuum, because I only have a wiring harness running down to my actuator?
  4. Hmmm....actuator on mine is on the passenger side of the front differential.
  5. Having some problems with the 4x4 on my chevy 1/2 ton lately........It's of the push-button varient, and when I push the 4x4 button the little light just keeps flashing and therefore no engagement. After doing some minimal research it seemed that the "actuator" may be the culprit? Any advice would be helpful.....Thanks!
  6. Hi to all, going to be headin'to MacGregor bay this week for some vacationing, and am wondering what species I'm in for?? Any advice would be helpful as this is a completely new body of water to me!
  7. Funny you should mention that......looked at the package yesterday and it said to do exactly that, but once you get them spinning do you have to really burn 'em in fast to keep the blade spinning?
  8. I've got a few of these in my box, look to be fantastic little spinners as to regarding overall appearance, but, for the life of me, can't seem to get the blade spinning while retreiving?????......Is it just me or is this a common problem with these baits?
  9. Are you sure 2 stroke is lighter?........StrikeMasters 4 stroke is 23lbs?
  10. Yup, amazing how sometimes we make a full cirle eh?.....I've got a Len Thompson 5-O-Diamonds, that I've had for 19 yrs now, and you know what?....IT STILL CATCHES FISH! Don't be afraid to throw some of the smaller sizes for fall Coho and Steelhead! Sorry, I know this was a Dardevle thread, and I do have quite a few of them as well!
  11. I would have to say that my favorite fishing shows would have to be a toss up between Bob Izumi's real fishing show and Dave Mercers, just watching a episode of either puts me in a good mood no matter what! Dave, I like the SCORE part on your show, cuz it cuts through the TV part of the program and reveals the truth that even the Pro's have to work to get fish in the boat.......Keep up the good work Bud!
  12. Oh, my!....What have I done? Amazing how arguments came ascend from a mere thread about fishing lures? Let's see, hmmmm.......How about: Bombardier rocks, and Arctic cat sucks?
  13. Does the finish wear off easily on the new ones, or has this problem been corrected as well?
  14. LOL!.......Yah, and if like Mercer's catching fish with them then you gotta run out and buy at least one of every size and color!
  15. Yah I know eh, I thought the traditinal shad-raps were a bit pricey at 8 bucks a pop..
  16. Saw Dave Mercer using these for "eyes" today, seemed to do well, but took a look at them, and they seemed a bit pricey compared to traditional Rapalas, which are proven walleye takers.
  17. A freind of mine recently informed me that he would be investing in a power auger in the next year or two, but the two of us have solely relied on our Swede-Bore augers and muscle power up to this point, that being said, neither of us have any idea what would be the best unit to purchase? There seems to be four manufactures...Strike-Master, Jiffy, Eskimo and Nils master, any fellow anglers with any experience with power augers please feel free to put in your two sense!
  18. White tube jig........Nice fish, and compliments to your camera man!

    GULP!

Yah, I just got the ones in the resealable pouch, not the GULP ALIVE!

    GULP!

Picked up some of the GULP! minnow grubs, but got to wondering if freezing will ruin it or not? I've had some leech ones for a while now and they seem to have turned kinda rubbery, not sure if this is from freezing or just drying out?
  21. Sorry to all, but soaring fuel prices ensure me a job!
  22. Hmm, maybe they'll be stayin' where they are.....funny the tackle you accumulate over the years and never actually use!
  23. I've got a few of these in my ice-box, but don't think they've ever hit the water, good customer reviews and such, but have a hard time trying something new when the old stand-bys are producing?
