Although I've had incredible success with Tubes for Lakers, I can't say I've given them an honest try for Speckies and am wondering if anyone on the forum has?

A freind of mine told me that as the season(fall or early winter)wears on, hardware becomes less and less effective????? Anyone else found this to be true?

Let's consider one thing here.............a lot of these companys that are "buying" up corporations in North America, are third world country based, and if given the chance would bring the Canadian way of living down to their level!.....I speak from first hand knowledge as a employee of Tenaris for seven years now......and believe me a unionized workplace is definitely a must with these people! On a slightly different note: I don't think anyone should rely on a union to keep your job,ie:Lack of performance and so forth! On the other hand, a fellow employee of mine told me that he had worked for Honda at one time, and said there you were treated like gold, and every day while walking thru the main gate there was always someone there from CAW union handing out pamphets and what not, but everyone was content and didn't see the need for unionizing......

I guess you'd have to get your roe pretty close to the bottom in order for them to see it even in clear water?

Ah yes, I guess I kind of forgot about the slip, which would work good under these circumstances!

Suppose you come to a pool, that is appoximately 15+', is it possible to fish this with a float set-up, or should you utilize other techniques such as bottom bouncing?

The rivers in my area are kind of "Tea colored" so they might be colored enough as is?.............often wondered as wel if they might be getting spooked by the smack of the lure when it hits the water?.....probably not like other game fish when it comes to this(ie; Pike, who are attracted to sound of any kind)

Thanks for all the input!...........I'm fishing tribs north of sault area which are sometimes on the deeper side, so that is why I'm using hardware, and also greater casting distance is a must..

Been a reel bad year for me as far as steelheading goes!..........I've thrown the kitchen sink at them this year, but to no avail! I almost exclusively use hardware, as this has worked for me other years, just don't seem to have the patience for float fishing, maybe thats my problem?

Anyone else had any success using these lures? They are supposed to work well for ice-fishing....

Hey there! Nice to hear from a local, and some awesome looking fish you got there, never did much LSPP fishing, would like to in the future tho! What do you guy's get those beauts on? Did you's ever try Mc Gregor??

If anyone out there likes these lures, I'd reccomend stocking up! I was told that Rapala bought-out Luhr Jensen, and consequently discontinued the Krocodiles, why is beyond me.............just a heads up to my fellow fishermen and fisherwomen!!!
