  1. If you have room for two batteries you won't regret the 80. I fished in a 14' Lund SSV tiller for a few days and it had a 55lb powerdrive and it didn't move the boat around that well. 80 is much more suited for you IMO.
  2. 24v 80lb Terrova w/ipilot will be perfect for you!
  3. Probably just got a bad rod. It happens. Did you try going to where you bought it to see if they would help you out at all? Or another local dealer?
  4. I think you can turn off on most Android phones as well. It is sometime called Location or Location Awareness etc. It can be under Location or Security/Privacy settings. See attached. I would think this is possible on Iphones as well.
  5. Landry - show us a pic of your setup! Jocelyn told me about the $10 toolbox but they were out of stock at the time.
  6. tsc in goderich and listowel has some....they will bring in from other stores if you ask
  7. Aaron/Terry - do you notice the HDS picks up the line quite a bit as well? I did on the weekend and there was no ice on the line. tried dialing the sensitivity down and then couldn't see my jig
  8. Thanks guys I found one at Home Hardware. Got them to price match. TSC also has them on sale for $90 if you can find stock anywhere. Sale ends in a couple days so you better move on it. http://www.tscstores.com/stage/mainhome.php#loadFG_215032 Carquest also carries them but won't price match anything
  9. Thanks Vinni. I think closest is Cambridge. Hoping to find one near London if possible.
  10. I was looking into getting a buddy heater, either the small or medium size and I see that Princess Auto is completely out of stock. Some other places have them but are about $50 more expensive. Anyone have any leads on stock anywhere that will match? Thanks!
  11. I drove an edge on the weekend and really didn't like it.
  12. Fuel economy is a must for the new vehicle....so a Jeep is out Thanks for the suggestions guys I'll do some digging on those models. Cheers.
  13. Thanks for the replies so far yes it's getting tough to find selectable 4wd most are all our just two now
  14. I might be in the market soon for a small SUV so I was wondering what you guys are happy with? Test drove a couple escapes yesterday but open to a Rav4 and a few others. I'll be pulling a small tinny but I imagine I will end up with a larger 16ft tinny or side console at some point. Boat will probably be less than 1500lbs. So I'm kinda stuck on whether to go with the bigger motor and/or 2wd or AWD. Any advice or experience with this scenario would be appreciated
  15. I've played with the Pfluger Patriarch a few times in the shop and I find it a better reel than the Stradic Ci4. Feels smoother and its a quieter reel. The handle is also a bit longer than the Ci4's so give them both a shot. I'm a big fan of the Stradic MGFB's if you can find them anymore. I'd rather one of those over a Ci4 any day. Not much heavier either.
  16. Me too!
  17. Hey Steve, I'm in the same boat right now; time to get an suv to tow the tinny. I'm pretty set on the escape but open to other brands. Thought about a truck but the SUV just makes more sense to me. I would consider a 4cyl 4x4 escape if you're just going to be towing a tinny. Much better mileage in the city than the V6. Also, consider a 2009 or newer as I believe they went to a 6spd transmission which further improves fuel economy. Definitely get a 4x4!
  18. I don't think you'll find a better auger than a Nils Master.
  19. Good to know. Let us know how the DSI fairs out on ice!
  20. call jos at angling outfitters he might be able to give you a deal on an Ice ducer if there is stock
  21. Nice setup smallie - you're not messing around! HDS-10 for a screen and using Cores on the ice! But why not use the best year round
  22. Thought I'd follow up and show my new little setup. $19 for the toolbox. The key was to mount the battery in the back-center so the handle balances when the unit is mounted! I like this toolbox because of the top cases and you can fit the ice-ducer in there. Just hope the plastic holds up in the cold.
  23. Are there any large 1 mans out there other than the shappell rover 1.5
  24. ugli what one do you have? The wind thing and mobility is a big deterrent. I don't need a shelter if it's not windy out 95% of the time
  25. SlowPoke haha nice to see this thread. A pop-up was really tempting for me yesterday but I think I've decided on a 1.5 man or a light 2 man flip-over as the way to go....2 man will have to wait until a new vehicle though....unless I can find a small utility trailer I fish mostly small ponds and lakes that have no quads/sleds allowed and like to move around, so I see moving the Flip-over to the next spot much easier. That and the pop-up looks to me a pain to setup in the wind! I think you could pull the 2 man pretty easily if it was outfitted with sliders or even skis. I really like the look of the Shappell rover 1.5sp http://www.shappell.com/rover15spshelter.html
