Congrates on the new addition ...your going to love the bull dog.high energy and super fast..heres a few pics of my sons dog and ill explain how he got his name...my son is into racing motorcycles and is a bit of an adrenaline junkie on the screaming fast crotch rockets (kinda like his dog)....well....those rockets have high performance exhaust sytems to them ....and co incidentally so does his American Bull Dog....so he was named "Paxton" after an elite exhaust sytem" Biggest goofball dog in the world but Super intelligent and loving...he will dominate your bed before you know it ... heres the pics and the best friend to my best friend (when im not around)

very nice Ainsley...

very nice ! i just made all my ballisters and hand rails for my stairs...
-
i would/do say something all the time....sometimes people just dont know but other times they do know and are just jerks....
-
i object to the idea of a "last cast" as long as im still above sod....but sometimes there are long delays between them though

For the float set ups ....presemntation is essential hence the reason for the fine lines to try to mimic a natural flow of a fly or roe bag as it would if it wasnt attached to a leader...if you get snagged on the bottom your out a hook or two amounting to under a dollar Chucking lures....the lure is the presentation with its ability to wiggle or make noise what ever the case may be so the heavy line is to aid in getting off the bottom if you get snagged...lures cost ten bucks or so...it gets costly quickly....i normally run 10 pound tezt on my spinning reel( 10'6 rod) and 17 on my baitcaster ( 7' rod)... Did i mention the RIVER is my tackle box..... edit to add: im going to guess Mike runs heavy braid so he can be more versatile to target other species should the need arise

yardworks are the greatest!!!!!! ill sell you mine so i can buy an Arians....up here i wouldnt own anything less that a 10 horse...unless it was an old school arians ...then i would go down to 8 horse Now that i think of it ...i should just take my yardworks in for repairs even though it was repaired when i put it away last year...friggin Junk

ive said for years....but people dont think they look kewl without the bling of a centerpin....lol...even though most of them dont know how to use them...another great report Mike....i always get asked "whats with the redneck fishing gear" from some of the younger regulars when i show up with my spinning gear....and alot of the time they get to WATCH...why i showed up with that gear....after all ....it wasnt like they were doing anything anyways if there was ONE lure in the world that i had to commit to ...it would be the original rattlin rap...steelies just cant say no regardless of the water conditions Cheers

[quote I bet a generous number of the nah sayers have never contributed as much as an hour towards the fisheries. interesting topic for a new thread....not just nay or yah sayers....but in general ...i wonder how many members do donate time to the fisheries

Fish4eyes- ch312 nailed it ...its probably safe to consider the batts in your attic at R10.....im sure they are higher but its better to underestimate its R value....leave them there and top up with cellulose/atticcat (your preference) another R40 Cellulose will be about 15 inches or Attic cat 18 inches@ R40...combine that with the underestimated R 10 Batts and you should be good to go to meet the new Code comming out of R 50 or R 60 (whichever the powers to be decide upon) ....but it never hurts to be better then "code" Sorry it took so long to reply...i didnt see this thread until just now... Cheers

i agree....sad sad state of affairs....

i too had a hard time getting my carcass out of bed this morning so i didnt get to the river until 11 30 or so ....seems everyone that did get up early had a fantastic morning and went home to enjoy the day....leaving me all alone at the river to fish by myself ...so i put in a long 5 hours of fishing to go 3 for 6.... what Bill said or your shot pattern is incorrect...
-
Excellent report Sean ....does your ole man always fish with a baitcaster...popular method for floating in BC....
