very enthusiastic report...i can relate with the adrenaline rush given the size and energy of the kings even at my age (it never gets old) ....its the best way to test out your equipment and a whole lot of fun to boot (pun intended)...we do an annual pilgrimage down to Lake O for floating upstream during the day and chucking hardware till all hours of the morning creating sleep deprivation and mishaps galore that become bonds shared with the pals...Our recent 4 day trip consisted of 12 hours sleep in total gallons of energy drinks and coffee and probably enough beef jerky to support a special delivery to our main supplier while we were in the area...good on ya guys !

oh and to those that are wondering ...the Trews will be playing Pumpkinfest in Port Elgin the first Saturday of Oct...so if you like cars music and HUGE vegetables...come on up...psst bring your fishing rods too...lol

Word to the wise....do not eat blue fin tuna from the pacific ocean...they are contaminated with cesium and traveled to and from Japan 3 times since Japans disaster. WHat really gets me ...is the DGR is going to be set in Limestone....can we think of any softer rock to put this stuff in ? I dont think its a gamble worth taking since the consequences are epic.

To me it is short sightedness to even consider this as a solution. They say that its safer to store the nuclear waste "onsite" saving the hazards that come with trucking it away...but yet ...there will still be trucking as they will be bringing it in to the DGR from other facilities...Keep in mind...Lake Huron drains down to Lake Erie and so on so if you dont think this effects you ....you better check to see where your water comes from ...time is running out to be heard ...

honestly it depends on the size of bag your running and that depends on the clarity of the water your fishing ...which in turn determines the size of hook you should be running...presentation is everything ....there is alot to be said for catching a huge arse salmon on a size 14 hook...cheers

A baitcaster or spinning reel set up for chucking 10 plus pound test line with lures might just be the most fun you have ever had with your clothes on ...read the river regulations/ exceptions and understand them....Good Luck!
