I would try to hold off on doing anything drastic until you know the outcome of the owner. Give it a couple of days and see how the owner is doing and how the dog responds, perhaps try to get her to eat some treats or something, small pieces of meat might work.

Congrats on the retirement thing! We had Xplornet here and were so happy to get rid of it, I even had the direct phone number or their operations manager at one point because there were so many problems with it (he finally left the company). At one point they were going to send a technician from Ottawa to here to fix things up but they wanted us to pay for the milage and travel time, five hours each way to fix their problems! We changed service providers. Hopfully they have improved significantly!

I had no problem getting on it about 4 this morning but have on several other occasions.

I do know at one point they had a sign on the pumps "may contain up to 10% ethanol" but I haven't noticed it lately so you could be right! I'll have to check into it.
-
I checked and their high test does not contain ethanol. I have been using their card to buy my gas there for years and it saves me quite a bit on every fill up and their price is usually one of the lowest in town.

A Little Canadian Butt Kicking In The Sandbox!!
Big Cliff replied to DRIFTER_016's topic in General Discussion
Canadian soldiers have 6 months of basic training, US have 6 weeks. When I got out of the army in 68 I was a PFC, I went down to the US to see about joining the US army and was accepted immediatly and would have started out as a sargent because of my training. All I had left to do was pick up my visa and I met a girl end of story LOL. As for the helmits; wouldn't stop a direct hit from a .762 round and if the bullet would have grazed the helmit it would have missed your head anyway. Not saying they shouldn't have been wearing them but who knows how much time they had to respond to the attack. Lets see go find my helmit or shoot back?????? -

Anywhere for "light wheeling" in Durham or Kawarthas?

There are some old logging/quory roads off 527 just North of Buckhorn that Beans and I explored in my 4X4 a few years back, they were just rough enough to need the 4 WD but we did manage to get through them without getting stuck. -
You may find that you get better accuracy at higher power settings simply because you are enlarging the target that much more. ie. if I shoot at a squirrel at using the 2X setting on my scope I see the squirrel and a lot of the background. If I switch up to the 9X setting the hole squirrels head is framed by the scope, makes it much easier to put the shot exactly where I want it.

Sometimes I think it is harder to say goodby to our non-human family members because we have to make these decisions without being able to explain the why of it to them. My heart goes out to you and the rest of the family!

They already do and have been for a long time

Where would she get the money after she squandered 9 billion on clean energy? Oh wait, she could tax us more again!

Back on Oct. 20 I posted an open letter to Justin Trudeau on here, I never did email it or anything just posted it on OFC. Yesterday I got an email showing my full name, address, postal code (I hadn't included any of that) ********************************************************************************************************************* From: "Prime Minister/Premier Ministre" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Subject: Office of the Prime Minister / Cabinet du Premier ministre Date: Wednesday, December 09, 2015 1:22 PM Dear Friend: Let me begin by thanking you for your kind words of congratulations. I am deeply grateful to have this opportunity to serve you - and every Canadian across our great country. I was touched by the level of support expressed by Canadians on October 19, and I want to reaffirm my commitment to spend the next four years working hard to deliver on our promises. As a Canadian, you expect to see your values and priorities reflected in your government - and we have listened. Our strong, diverse, and experienced team will be open, honest, and sincere in our efforts to serve the public interest. Thank you again for writing. Yours sincerely, The Right Honourable Justin P.J. Trudeau, P.C., M.P. Prime Minister of Canada ************************************************************************************************************************** Interesting isn't it? Seems even our PM reads OFC Maybe he isn't so bad after all!

That's ok if the bill is legitimate but I have had many runins with them! Double charged for the same trip, once with transponder and then again on the same trip without a transponder both within a second of each other. Their excuse was that my transponder must be defective (well if that was the case why was I charged for a transponder trip) Once for my car and again for the trailer I was towing with it. Tried to return my transponder, put it on prepaid courier, they wouldn't accept it so I tried to take it in myself, 7 kiosks, only one open and a line up of about 30 people. there was a security guard standing there so I explained that I just wanted to return my transponder ; "go stand in the line " was his reply. I tried again to explain that all I wanted to do was "GO STAND IN THE LINE SIR". I used some very un professional words and left. I ended up having to return the transponder via Canada Post, seems that is the only way they will accept them. Our OPP patrol it and I'll bet we as taxpayers pay for that too. Bend over, this is Canada!

Well if you are interested, I might just have a product for you. It's a cold smoke generator for smoking meat, fish, cheese (or anything else where you don't want heat involved) I have already built and tested a couple of units, they have evolved through several stages just in the last few months (but there is always room for improvement). So far everyone that has tried them has been really pleased with how they have worked and I haven't been able to find anything quite like them anywhere else. I don't have time to take it to market (I'm too darn busy working and building these things LOL). If you are interested give me a shout and we'll hook up. -
Looks fantastic Bruce, I'm going to have to try your marinade on my next batch. I have been cold smoking ( < 20°C) my bacon for the last little while now and really like the results.

Has she got her heart set on destroying this province?

I am so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing and the treatment (or lack there of) that he had to endure. You are right, our health care system is very flawed and it is getting worse by the day. -
You find the tree, I'll bring the rope!

Yup, a little more to the story! I think the guy got what he deserved! http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/tim-hortons-texting-fine-1.3346930

I get as many sick days and as many personal days as I want a year, I just don't get paid for any of them. -

Oh but wait there's more (Literally) Just heard today it will now be between 35 and 50,000 refugees and all will be going on social assistance. You can now at least double that 1.2 billion. -
It isn't her money, she doesn't care what we think, that is why she had an entourage of 85 people on her last little world tour all at our expense. Our hydro costs have gone up 70% since 2006, who do you think is suffering?
