  1. Thanks John, going to have to wait until I get back from this trip but I saved the link😊
  2. I have a Rapala electric. Didn't believe in them until one day crappieperchhunter and I came home with a bucket of crappies. I have fillited so many fish I can almost do it blindfolded but he pulled out his electric. The two of us started out side by side and I was blowen away, he was cleaning 3 to my 1 and doing just as nice a job. The next day I went to CTC and bought one. It took a little practice but I love it so much my son and son-in-law now have them as well and use them all the time. The trick is to let the knife do it's job and I can assure you there is less waste than with a regular filliting knife.
  3. Seat filled 😊
  4. Check your pm.
  5. I am looking to buy some live lobster between 15 to 25 lbs depending on the price. I would prefer 1- 1 1/2 lb size and female if I can choose. I might be able to go as much as 50 lbs depending on price. Need them delivered to lindsay or pick up in the GTA. Anyone got connections or trusted sources?
  6. Loblaws has whole brisket on for $3.99/lb.
  7. Please share your recipe for the Indian Candy.
  8. I know Doug, but things have changed, I don't have access to the property up North anymore and I really don't have a place to use it down here. Funny, I checked the odometer and its only just over 30km, most of my time was spent on the water using the trolling motor.
  9. Total package $15,000.00
  10. C/W brush guard, winch, trolling motor mount, floor mat and a 6X10 trailer. Package was bought new last spring. Everything is in mint condition and has been professionally serviced. Both the Argo and trailer go as a package.
  11. Last year I had access to a piece of property in French River and my Argo was a perfect fit, unfortunatly that was last year and that access is no longer available. Since I have limited storage available here and limited potential to use it I have decided to let it go to a new home. If you were thinking of getting one, I have a deal for you. I am going to miss it but I do have some wonderful memories.
  12. Septic system? Safe drinking water supply, Hydro? Lots of things to consider, don't take anything forgranted.
  13. Well I might have to wait a bit, I just saw on the news that east coast boat prices (what they sell for at the dock) have sky rocketed to around $20.00/lb from $3.00 to $4.00 /lb two years ago. I am happy for the fishermen, they work hard for what they get but that's more than I am willing to spend.
  14. Lobster, lots of lobster. The whole idea is to go somewhere that I can get lobster fresh off the boat and eat until I can't anymore then repeat (perhaps a couple of times). I've dug clams in PEI and loved it but I think I might be too old to pull lobster traps so I would settle for buying them at the dock. Looking for suggestions, help an old man fill his bucket list 😊
  15. Well anyone that knows me, known I am not much for pictures but how about my cooler of vac sealed whiting fillets. There's one small bag of shrimp (cooked) that we caught when we went digging clams. It was a hoot, the shrimp were caught in a tidal pool when the tide went out and try to catch those little buggers, we must have looked like fools, boy can they ever move. Anyway one more adventure to add to the list 😊 So here is ,a picture of my cooler, about 12 bags of whitings.
  16. We ended up with a beautiful two bedroom, two bath place right at Apache Pier in Myrtle Beach. Weather has been awesome with daytime highs in the high 70s almost every day. To top it all off the bite has been the best I have ever seen. Blues, whitings, sand perch and even a few Spanish mackerel (we haven't caught any of the mackerel but we aren't fishing for those). Today was exceptional, hit the pier at 8 am, it opens at 7 but it was raining so we woosed out. You are allowed two rods per person, I got my first line out and set and it was all out action from then on. Limit on whitings is 50 per person per day, I can't tell you how many we caught, it was stupid but I ended up keeping 39 of the bigger ones which are now cleaned, soaking in salt water in the fridge and ready to vac seal tomorrow. Things here are so much less expensive, gas $3.66/ gal. Clothing, fresh fruit (whole pineapples $1.00 ea) booze, a 26 of CC, $9.00, we just bought fresh jumbo shrimp for $5.99/lb, mind you those prices are in US$ but even with the exchange..... Anyway, for as long as god grants me the ability I think this is going to be an annual trip, it's a nice break from winter and a great way to recharge the batteries 😊
  17. Perhaps a bit of wiring, I have a switch not working the way it should in my motor coach but the main job would be detailing a 30' motor home (inside only) + a RAV 4, And I might have some other work if you are interested. It would have to be done in Lindsay but I would provide room and board (free) for as long as it takes and I am quite willing to pay for all work and materials required. If this is something you would be interested in let me know.
  18. I don't need anything done right now but I think you have a great idea and could easily turn this into a very profitable business. Good luck with it πŸ€—
  19. That's one trip that's still on my bucket list.
  20. Yup 😊
  21. Wishing an old friend a very happy birthday Beans. Wishing you health and prosperity for 2022 and many more years to come.
  22. Seat filled 😊
  23. Always room for one more. Welcome
  24. Holly... the line up to get in was huge, across the parking lot, down to the next street and half a block down that one and it was the same when we left... much more than I expected and so crowded I really didn't have a chance to shop but good to see so many people out.
  25. I always try to help when and where I can but you do have to be careful. Not too long ago there was an influx of people begging outside local grocery stores. They had signs with things like " have 5 children, need food medicen, please help". It was pretty obvious they weren't locals but I saw many people donating cash. I later saw a van going around picking them up and I suspect taking them back to where ever they came from but it was an organized group. I try to donate to things like the Legion poppy fund every year all the funds go to help vetrins and their families, I usually drop into our local branch and give them a cheque and you do get a tax deductible receipt. Womens shelter, Salvation Army....
