Who are these Golden Knights guys?

A tip when you decide to tile the shower. I forgot to put wall niches in, they are great in a shower. Takes a bit of time but well worth it. Much neater and cleaner looking than hanging racks to hold stuff.
Yup, already in the plan.

I took it to a Benz dealer and they did the rebuild and put in what they called a "double" timing chain. Is there such a thing?
Yes, it's called a double roller timing chain.
They have less stretch and are used mainly in performance applications.

Matt's your uncle?

Dave, depending on the year your Merc there is a good chance the main components of your Merc is actually a Yamaha/Merc hybrid. My 115 HP Mariner is a Merc/Yamaha hybrid. As is my 15HP Merc kicker.
OI, mine is a 2013 4 stroke.

Last day of vacation today so I went to the cabin and pulled the dock for the winter.Got a nice shot of the cabin from the lake too.Once the dock work was done I got some rod time on the lake.Landed 12-15 pike with the biggest a real fatty in the teens.Unfortunately my pic turned out pretty crappy.Hopefully the lakers are on the chew this weekend. The launch bay is down to 37* so she'll be hard soon.

Love the compete level of this team.
Hopefully they can keep it up.

Why does your Yammy have a timing belt when a timing chain would last the life of the engine?
Like car engines the timing belt is an unnecessary expensive repair when timing chains last the life of the engine.
Another reason to love my 115 Merc!!!
It has a chain.

Dave that Hardy board shingles sure sets the gable end off nice, really nice. Plus the stuff is like ballistic armour plate. What are you going to use for the siding? A neighbour tore down an old cottage lakeside and built new and used the Hardy board siding set vertically and did the gable ends in the shingles very similar to yours. We love the look of the board and siding vertically rather than horizontally. Nothing but a Hurricane will damage it, then it's maybe a Hurricane.
OI, the siding is Hardie Plank.
When the cabin is finished inside I will be adding river rock veneer below the siding to give the illusion of a stone foundation.
Like this.
The area behind my pellet stove will be getting the same treatment.

Cops said he must have fallen down when running
Yeah, that happens a lot.

That's brutal and pretty bold to steal it from the dock. Wonder if there's any type of Lo-Jack product for boats ? hide it somewhere with a separate power source maybe.
Hope it's found intact, I've never seen Starwelds up here so it should turn heads.
Lots of security systems for this kind of thing.

FYI
The Leafs Are On Pace To Score 615 Goals This Season!!!!

Hows that working for you lmao
It's working quite well Matt.
Thanks for asking.
-
Well that was unexpected.
Vegas just won their opening game.

Packed it in and headed home today.Had enough of the crappy weather and not getting anything done.Tried to do some work yesterday but the cold wind made it impossible.Cleaned the site up and put stuff away for the winter. Was cloudy and calm and in the low 30's when I left the dock so I went fisihin' fer an hour. The fall bite is on!!!!!Went 4 for 10 with 15 or 20 other smacks from pike in the hour.No giants but one decent fish in the 36-38" range. It only gets better between now and freeze up.Will pull the dock next weekend hopefully the weather cooperates.

MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!
Filled with a creamy hope and optimism filling!!!

Great game, besides the 5000 penalties they decided to take, lol.
At least they killed them all off.
-
Soooooo, where's Matt?
-
Well a couple of rain days kept me working inside.Reconfigured the washroom and made it bigger and roughed in for a window. Finally got the Hardie Shingle work done above the front windows too.Took me 3 days to do this small section. Was worth the effort me thinks.Working on trim tomorrow.
-
Dave I am surprised that the insulation is basically what code is here in Southern On. Heat loss will be high with all the gorgeous windows you have. I would have thought you would have gone with a closed cell spray where you are.
Kinda hard to get the equipment out to the site for spray foam.

Hard at 'er the past couple of days. Weather turns late tomorrow with cold NE winds and rain for Saturday night and Sunday.Temps will have highs in the 40's starting Sunday and it ain't gittin' any warmer. It's turning out just as I had envisioned it when I designed the cabin a few years ago.
-
A few night shots looking out the front windows of the olde cabin last night.
-
Told ya they do stellar work.
Do great work rebuilding skegs too.
