  1. Mother,

We made the journey last night to Kanata, in order to ready ourselves to face the Senators. Unable to afford power, Dictator Melnyk has issued a curfew for electricity use. We used this opportunity to advance behind enemy lines unnoticed.

In addition to our preparation for battle, it is also the LOU's birthday. It is far from the birthday party he deserves, but we have managed to secure a cake for him in our make-shift camp. GEN Babcock has confided in me his strategy for PTE Marner. He intends to allow him to eat as much cake as he can, directly before this eve's clash. He then shall allow him to tire himself in battle whilst he is experiencing the sugar high. If all goes according to plan, he should have a tremendous night, and then sleep right through until the morn.

Our recon shows that the speedy CAP Karlsson has returned to lead the Senators. His courage is tremendous, and he is a respected foe. Despite his return, their Unit still fell to the punchless Vancouverites in their last battle. Our battalion all had a great laugh at this! PTE Nylander found it so humorous that he began choking on a Swedish Meatball. PTE Hyman promptly dug it out of his windpipe, as is his forte. He is great at going into the dirty areas for retrievals. God bless him.

The Battle of Ontario is always a fierce one, and this eve I expect nothing less. But part of me feels bad for our provincial brethren. Dictator Melnyk's foiled plot to build a casino resulted in PTE Methot defecting to Las Vegas. Intelligence reports indicate he has a love of gambling. I cannot imagine the pain the Senators feel, losing him to a younger, more vibrant Unit. So I considered taking it easy tonight, but I've realized that the people of Fort Toronto have grown to expect dominance. So dominance is what I shall give them.

  2. Not mentioning names, that other Ontario team lost another home game in OT tonight... :whistling:

On a better note, did anyone watch the Oilers - Chicago game?? The OT period was incredible!!

McD's assist on the first goal was epic!!! :)

  3. If you guys want to get parasites be my guest and kiss all the fish you want.

My buddy in Alaska decided to kiss a hooligan (like a saltwater smelt thing) and ended up in hospital with parasites.

Lost nearly 20#'s during the ordeal.

Every time I watch Cyril kiss a fish I wonder why he isn't dead yet!!!

Kissing Amazonian or tropical fish is the absolute dumbest thing on the planet!!!

  4. The Champion Dual fuel 6500W/8125W at CTC says gas or propane, NG compatible or not? I love where they say never go flat tires, they are plastic, good marketing.

    Not without changing some stuff.

LP and NG while both are gases they have different properties and need different ratios of gas to 02 in order to run properly.

Dirty power can harm sensitive electronics. That's why I run my electronics off a Yamaha inverter genny.

A decent powerbar should protect your TV.

Should have one anyway if you don't already.

When I am finished building my cabin this will be my generator.

Nice and quiet, 7,000 watts of inverter power and fuel injected. :)

  5. If I could find that, I would Dave. IDIOT at that stuff.

When you bring up the site just click on the warning that tells you it needs to be enabled.

Adobe started doing this with a recent update to make it more secure. So that it wont automatically run when you visit a site and run some malicious code.

What browser are you using? Chrome, Firefox, IE, other?

  6. To run what you talk about a 4000-5000 watt genny will be fine.

Any less and it's possible to overload it if the furnace and water pump come on at the same time.

As previously noted startup draw on those motors is a lot higher than running draw.

Champion generators are fine for what you want it for.

I would keep it in the garage when not in use to keep it semi warm so it's easier to start in winter.

CT has a couple of good options on sale with a $200 saving right now.

    A 5500 watt gas model: http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/champion-5500w-portable-gas-generator-0550322p.html#srp

And a 6500 watt dual fuel model which will run on gas or propane. This would be ideal as you can run it off propane and not have to worry about carbs gumming up and bad fuel issues. http://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/champion-6500-watt-dual-fuel-generator-0550366p.html#srp

I have a 4500 watt Champion I use at the cabin to run my higher draw tools like my compressor.

The power is no where near as clean as my Yamaha I use to run everything else. In fact the Champion will not run my battery chargers for my cordless tools because of it.

I have been really impressed with how easily the Champion starts and runs though.

Almost always starts on the first pull. :)

You will also need a generator isolation panel to use the generator when the power goes out.

  7.

Like I also said rubber never stops curing.

Plus the belt sitting idle for long periods of time; the belt will take on the shape that it's sitting in.

If it's an older belt it could fail on the first start up of the season.

    Dan.

YUP, same reason you change the water pump impeller regularly.

Also the ozone in the atmosphere deteriorates rubber.

  8. My buddy is a mechanic for the Coast Guard, said the same thing. Do a visual, if it's fine there's no need to touch it. It's not like it's got a tensioner or rollers like a car has (Which is usually the part that fails and takes the engine with it) timing belts rarely if ever just snap.

Unless it's in my buddies wife's 1 year old Subaru Outback.

Sitting at a light waiting to turn left. Pop!!!

    Engine toast!!! :wallbash::wallbash::wallbash:

  9. What do I expect to pay for the HD antenna? Is it true HD at 1080p? Can you get HBO on the antenna? I have been told no HBO, movie channels as well as most cable channels such as CNN, Nat Geo etc.

My wife is leaving if she looses HBO and her cable movie channels. I'm thinking I might get a base package then add on some cable channels and supplement the networks with the antenna, ABC,CBS, NBC, FOX, CBC and CTV. I need to get the calculator out.

Not able to stream here, not enough band width.

If I can stream out in the bush at my cabin in the North West Territories you should be able to in Southern Ontario!!!!! :tease: :tease: :tease: :tease: :tease:
